I'm so delighted that at the Princeton theater program we are producing A Moment of Silence by Iranian playwright Mohammad Yaghoubi — a poetic and humorous meditation on Iran’s modern history. The protagonist Shiva repeatedly falls asleep years at a time, waking up periodically to an altered world shaped by revolution, war and censorship. Noni is an amazing young woman that we met through the Trumpet Chicks - an extraordinary high school music group from Camden NJ. Noni played with her band as part of celebrating Reginald Dwayne Betts show Felon: An American Washi Tale at Princeton and got to know us, and decided to pursue lighting in college. She was accepted to Jackson State in Mississipi where she is pursuing lighting, and this summer also completed our workforce development program at Princeton with Tess James. Now - she is struggling to put together enough money for her sophomore year tuition. If you can help her at this GoFundMe, please do. She's wonderful. Every little bit helps. Please repost even if you can't help! https://gofund.me/6897d307
