Woke up to my name in the 𝑵𝒀𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑬𝑺 @nytimes 🌟 - our performance of “Pli selon pli” was recognized as a top 10 “Best Classical Music Performance of 2025.”
The real honor was getting to dig deep into the poetry and world of Boulez and then to tell stories through music and words to the audience. (But it feels good to be acknowledged nonetheless. 💛🗞️)
I’m forever grateful to have sung these pieces (from memory, no less!) in my 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐭 with 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 @nyphilharmonic and Maestro @conductordavidrobertson back in January.

Well, 2025 left the wildest ride of the year for the last 3 days…! It was the absolute THRILL of my career thus far to step in and sing Elvira for the General/final dress of this brand new I Puritani at the Met. My first time with the orchestra, on the set, in costume - there were so many calculations happening in real time, but I got settled in and gave a performance I’m immensely proud of. The curtain came down and I nearly burst into tears, what an incredible journey. I received the offer to come cover 2 weeks before the first day and have worked my butt off getting all the ducks in a row. The cast, staff, and team has all been so supportive - each incredible in their part building this fantastic new production. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
They say never meet your idols, but Lisette Oropesa is a class-act in every sense. She is so kind, so warm, and brings everyone around her to the next level. I’ve never seen such excellence at work like this and have been continually inspired. Her Elvira is beautifully charming, honest, witty, and utterly heart-breaking.
Toi toi toi to everyone for the 🌟premiere🌟 tonight on NYE. It will be a MAGICAL night at the theater! I’m SO excited!

🇫🇷May 2025 brought one of my big DREAM ROLES, Marie, (La fille du régiment) to the stage. She was all the fun I had imagined she would be and more! 👖Btw wearing pants on stage is such freedom and luxury 😆!
Marie had been swept away with so many postponements and cancelations of the pandemic, so when OSB @operasantabarbara reached out to reschedule this I was absolutely ELATED! So grateful to OSB for facilitating this incredible opportunity and bringing together the best team - we built a fantastic show! Our fabulous Duchess Krakenthorp was Marilyn Gilbert, OSB’s founder and the very woman who cast me in my first ever opera back in High School…! Here’s to hoping Marie comes around again soon!

👠A good little action shot! 💃🏻No matter how often I hear/sing it, Carmina Burana will always be one of my favorites. It brings me so much joy to see faces light up in the audience when they hear the orchestra.
