🥇1st AG and Overall
Well… what can I say… what a race.
It came no shock to me that the majority of people in my wave went hot out of the blocks, but I knew the strategy I wanted to stick to, and I stuck to it.
It’s very easy to get carried away at the start, but I kept my cool and paced my myself. I entered and came out of the ski 37th overall…
It was hard for me to stay patient, but I knew I had to put trust in my fitness that I’d pull it back… and that’s exactly what I did.
By the time I came out of the sled pull, I was in 4th. The sled pull has always been a weakness of mine, but after weeks of work, I pulled a 3:19 which is huge for me.
After the burpees I was in 2nd place… this is when I knew I had a chance of putting down a solid time.
I used the row to get my HR down so I could then put my foot down for the rest of the race.
When I got to the wall balls, I was 25 reps behind 1st place. By that point, it was just a grind.
I overtook 1st place at rep 70 and then we were neck and neck for 10 reps with both of us breaking. Then I managed to pick it back up and smash out the final 20 reps taking 1st place.
What a race!

Small changes in your lunge pattern mechanics completely change the muscular bias 👇
A = more quad bias 🦵
B = more glute bias 🍑
The biggest difference?
Your knee angle + torso position.
A. Forward knee travel + upright torso → more quads
B. More vertical shin + hip hinge → more glutes
Same exercise. Different stimulus.
Which one do you feel more naturally? A or B? 👀

Back in December at London Excel we grabbed a spot in the doubles for world champs
After two races together we will go for a third and that being the World Champs
7 weeks until we hit the floor as a pair and we are ready to enjoy every moment of being out there!
There is no set goal, this one is pure enjoyment. It’s been a real full circle moment first meeting each other back in 2016 while working together, bumping into each other literally in the other side of the world, to now heading to compete at a world championship together
Let’s see what Stockholm brings
