Coming to the end of your testing week, here are a few things to think about. Use your testing results alongside your upcoming goals to decide which program is best for you. As we come to the end of our testing week across our @marchontraining program, it’s important to remember that the numbers aren’t everything. Of course it’s a great feeling when you hit a PB or run further than in week 1, but what about the other wins along the way? Improved movement quality Better consistency Understanding how to fuel for performance Improved confidence These are all things that’s lead to the biggest transformation in the long term. It’s testing week on the @marchontraining programmes. Testing week is the moment we stop and ask did it work? Where are we now? What do we build next? But it’s not a competition. It’s a readout. And that’s where I think a lot of people get this wrong. Testing week becomes this win or lose moment. You either beat your numbers or you didn’t. But that’s not what it’s for. Your result this week is a direct reflection of the training phase you’ve just had. If you’ve been consistent, well rested and well fuelled, go in ready to back yourself. But if like me you’ve had a had a block where life got in the way, adjust your expectations accordingly. Not as an excuse. As an honest assessment. And that’s what we build the next phase from. 🚀
