My band Elder Jack’s second album “IV” releases today. We gave it everything we had. CDs for sale, vinyl TBA. The music is quite sad but I feel really lucky to be able to work on music with my best friends from high school, let alone a recording that I think actually succeeds in communicating some emotional essence of our lives.
This, the new Gingerbee album, and the upcoming Summer 2000 album feel kind of like a senior capstone and distinctly the end of a chapter of my recorded and real life. Who knows how long we or anyone else can sustain picking at our own mental scabs. Enjoy the fruits while they last. Lots of love to Jacob, Kellen, Austin, and the rest of you.
