Last year a group of very talented folks came together to make Deep, a super spy music video celebrating the world of Chicago music and cinema. Here’s a snippet of my speech from our screening!
As the number one fan of this song, I’m so honored @jamesslay773 saw the vision for this speculative spy world I wanted to build! I’m grateful to have produced with @manateerecords whose joy is to support Chicago music scene. I enjoy every video I've been a part of but this one was a uniquely fun collab. Back when Taylor Street Tap had their open mic going I bumped into the hosts, @slapsaucemusic . They were working with artist to create these fantastically whimsical videos using a green screen and I was lucky enough to be a part of the series.
This DEEP SINES is so goofy in the best way. It juxtaposes the serious tone of my vocals, while fitting into the visual language I am established for the album.
