Excited to share the video of the premiere of “OVERBOUND”, my cello concerto for @cameroncrozman and Alex Pauk’s @espritorchestra ! In composing this work I felt that I took so many risks and branched out into stylistic territory that felt quite new to me — such that the exhilarating premiere showcasing Cameron’s incredible virtuosity and the adventurousness of the orchestra, accompanied by a very enthusiastic audience made ask myself “what was I so afraid of?” I am reminded again of the rewards of risk and diving into the unknown. Hi everyone! I've been really enjoying teaching my workshop on spectral mixing this year, and so appreciative that I've had so many interested and engaged participants! On November 13, 2025 I am so excited to premiere a new hour-long work written for me by composer and longtime collaborator James O’Callaghan.
Presented in partnership with the Canadian Music Centre - Amor Fati, for solo piano and offstage electronics, unfolds in complete darkness. Over 60 minutes, sound emerges from the void without visual framing — unfolding in a space where attention shifts, time expands, and fate feels quietly present in each gesture.
