Mark Aaron James has built a career at the intersection of songwriting, performance, and theater. He has toured internationally as a singer-songwriter, performing at venues such as Nashville’s Bluebird Café, London’s Vaudeville Theatre, New York’s Birdland, and even The White House. Alongside this career, he has consistently pursued theatrical storytelling, curating the long-running performance series In the Round and developing original works for the stage.
Mark’s current project, Peripheral, explores the unseen figures at the edges of iconic photographs and the stories history leaves out. The piece was recently selected by the Newport NewWorks Festival and is slated for upcoming readings in New York City with NEWPORT NEWWORKS - AT Roundabout Underground
