Sitting quietly in silence on SaturGAZE remembering our beloved Brian Stacey - fondly known as ‘Stace’ ♥️
Feeling very blessed to have known, worked with & had our Stace as a very close friend. . . 29 years ago today he left this world and imprints of love on countless hearts including mine, his daughters @mim_stacey & @missnikkistacey & his partner of that time (& my bestie) Kate Sadler.
How blessed & grateful we all are to have had this extraordinary man, partner, father, friend, musician, maestro & so much more in our lives.

This concert is one for the memory books! My first time featuring as a soloist alongside @james_pinneri_baritone 🌹 Congratulations to maestro James Pratt, the Perth Symphonic Chorus and Orchestra, featured soloists and all who made this special concert possible 🤍
On the weekend I headed home for a short trip to sing my first Faure Requiem with the amazing @perthsymphonicchorus under the direction of the fantastic James Pratt!!
It was such a lovely afternoon full of beautiful French Music and was made even more special because I got to do it with my beautiful partner Sophie Hamer ❤️.
Congratulations to the other soloists Noah Humich, Audrey Lombardi, Emma Hazell and the amazing orchestra on two very special concerts! 🎶🇫🇷😊
Handel’s Messiah with @perthsymphonicchorus ⭐️✨
Congratulations to maestro James Pratt, and wonderful soloists Sara Macliver, Fiona Campbell OAM, Benjamin Rasheed and Robert Hofmann for such a splendid performance of this mammoth work. This performance was particularly special as it was the last performance in our beloved Perth Concert Hall before renovations begin.
I am excited to be continuing with the Perth Symphonic Chorus as a Young Artist in 2025, and look forward to our upcoming performances and projects✨

I’m looking forward to performing alongside the Perth Symphonic Chorus on Saturday 3rd of August 2pm in the Government House Ballroom for ‘Songs of Comedy and Tragedy’, conducted by the marvellous James Pratt, and with the amazing Caroline Badnall on piano.
The first half of this concert will be Gilbert and Sullivan’s hilarious ‘Trial by Jury’, where I will be performing as Angelina (The Plaintiff) alongside a wonderful cast of principals:

When @genevieveleclair_conductor and I met nearly 2 years ago - we had a shared passionate purpose. To find a simple way to help Conductors & musicians to enjoy a pain free, injury free, long and fruitful music making career.
Genevieve has been conducting all genres of music for 20 years and I have worked with both Conductors onstage & in production plus awarded 22 emerging Australian Conductors through the Brian Stacey Memorial Trust I ran for 20 years.
Interestingly we connected via a conducting colleague who was struggling with a torn rotator cuff injury. This conductor reached out on Facebook for guidance and help.
While the tips flooded in for rotator cuff exercises that are fine once the tear has actually healed, no one seemed aware of addressing the entire body & mind as a whole to be aware and ensure the issue didn’t repeat. Which is in fact very common in conductors and musicians.
Genevieve presented our collaboration creation concept ‘MD Mobility Magic’ at the 79th @orchleague conference yesterday in Houston and our MD Mobility Magic online course is now available.

📣 Exciting News! I can officially announce @genevieveleclair_conductor & I have been quietly collaborating and created ‘MD Mobility Magic’. Launching at the League of American Orchestras 79th Conference in Houston next month @orchleague
This is a simple accessible mobility program to address essential centred mobility in Conductors, Musical Directors & musicians.
Prevent injury - reduce or remove pain and keep a conductors instrument - their body - healthy & pain free for a long fruitful career.
We are launching it on 6 June in Houston - when Genevieve will present our concept to the Conductors Constituancy Opening Session in Houston at the League of American Orchestras 79th Conference.

With Easter approaching this week, here is a throwback to last year’s Australian Premiere of ‘Invictus: A Passion’ by Howard Goodall performed by the Perth Symphonic Chorus and conducted by James Pratt.
I had the pleasure of performing as the Soprano Soloist for this special Easter Concert, joined by Tenor Soloist Jacob Correia and the Perth Baroque Orchestra.
This year, the Perth Symphonic Chorus is performing J.S. Bach’s marvellous work, St. Matthew’s Passion, on Sunday 14th of April at 6:00pm in the Perth Concert Hall. Tickets are available here: .au/events/event/bach-st-matthew-passion
