Making the most of the present moment. All one can do, truly. The future flows freely out of the present, so the most aligned destiny is manifested through constant nows. These nows envelope us and escape us. Fleeting, fleeting… why not embrace it? 012 perpetuates the mission to provide equitable and ethical platform for creatives and community in south florida. Equity is exercised through harmony between old and new contributors - an imbalance indicates nepotism or exploitation, depending which direction it leans. Ethics are exercised through our prioritization of safety within the space. To remind everyone, we maintain a code of conduct which is summed up by the following paragraph: We prohibit any forms of hatred and bigotry, namely transphobia, queerphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, racism, misogyny, etc. Always ask for consent before engaging in any form of touching or physical interaction. Do not assume that others share your same boundaries. It never hurts to ask. It actually always helps. Open expressionism establishes an environment where community affirms itself as the antidote to capitalist chaos. This is why we bridge mediums of creativity within the space. Hypercuration is a marketing tactic at its core. Everyone deserves a seat at the table, so long as they believe this themselves. Communities are healthier without hateful and selfish energies, so we state our code of conduct above in the effort to filter out darkness. Deep consideration of another brings forth true growth. The machine encourages the individual to bury their empathy in order to optimize output. This perpetuates the cycle of meaningless production. Purpose is found within shared compassion. When we listen to each other, care for each other, and work for each other, we feel meaning. Systemic positive change flows out of this very phenomenon. We are grateful for the opportunity to activate this philosophy once again, and for the contributors who will manifest it. 🍄👥❇️
