Let’s go back to 1998...
The film “Spawn” was released on VHS in Australia and I begged my Mum to let me rent it as I wasn’t allowed to see it in the cinemas. Mum obliged and let me have it, if only she knew what she started 😂
I was instantly drawn in with the film and the character/ make-up design of Spawn. But mostly, the Gentleman who played him,
@officialmichaeljai 🙌🏻 There was something mesmerising about his performance as Al Simmons & Spawn. I still remember saying to my 9 year old self “I’d love to work with him one day”.... Fast forward to 2019 and here we are, on the set of Michaels newest film, “The Outlaw Johnny Black”! My role is only minor as the barkeep, but I was privileged to share a few frames with Michael and his long time friend/ co-star Byron Minns! Watching Michael working in front and behind the camera is like a dance, you’re constantly taking notes and in awe of this mans hard work/ commitment in bringing his vision to life.
This all came about because of a video I posted last year hyping up the film whilst it was still in the funding process, it’s funny how things work out.
To Michael, the amazing cast, hard working crew, my amazing make up artist
@headkase_studios and his team, thank you for making this 30 year olds inner 9 year old dream a reality ✌🏻 My parts were filmed over two days out in Sable Ranch and the whole time I was battling food poisoning, so that helped with getting into character (5kg weight loss) 😅
In a few days it’ll be time to head home, regroup, put some weight back on and begin the stages of making these experiences more permanent over here in the Americas... 😉
