Berlin half by the numbers 🇩🇪
Jumped in the 61:30 group from the gun, but had to ease off a bit after 11K. 2:54–52/km from 5–11k was slightly too fast for me. Over 21k it felt like even a second per K made a huge difference.
Without any experience at the distance, I didn’t really know how hard I could push early on. I just tried to find my limit and hold it all the way to the line.
I was aiming for a bit faster than 62:08, but it’s a solid start.
Now the focus shifts to the track.
Thank you @berlinerhalbmarathon and @philippkdw 🙏🏽

Looking at this pictures from last winter, I think about the long road ahead. It was full of unknowns and it tested us in different ways. Now its back to South Africa to take it on again. The road won’t be the same for any of us, but it’s always more rewarding when we run it together.

Second at National cross country championships today🥈🌲
Every year I look forward to cross country season. For me it’s the rawest and purest form of running. There is no time goals, no splits and no pacemakers. There is nothing to rely on other than yourself.
Cross country is a dance with your limits. Today I chased @magnustmyhre for 7k, and even tho my limit was 6 seconds behind him, it was another fun battle on the grass.
9 weeks until euro cross
