On this rainy evening, my heart breaks as I announce the passing of my love Jasper. Jasper crossed the rainbow bridge to meet uncle Revy so he can show him how everything works in the land of unlimited smoked salmon and squirrels. Jasper passed peacefully at home, following a luxurious steak dinner, and spending the day at the beach taking a dip in the waters of Lake Ontario with Jacob and mum. More information about his condition may follow in the future once the wound is a little less fresh. Thank you to everyone who came by and visited, and bought items to help support Jasper.

So it turns out Madrid has an odd little bit of Egypt in it's park. The Temple of Debod was gifted to Spain for helping to preserve the history in a valley about to be flooded by a new dam.

Prepping for siding installation with a contractor lunch and learn. Probably the best reward I've ever gotten for being a good student and answering questions is this $180 12" fiber cement blade!

No more need for lanterns inside during the day! More small steps along the way; soffits, windows, a finished deck, animal proofing. What a learning process!

It now has an insulated upstairs and a window. As you can see from the other bunkie, this weekend was all about windows.
