Fuelled by months of mysterious
@houghtonfestival clips doing the rounds online, the cut "No Way Home" became one of the most hunted track IDs of 2025 long before anyone even knew where it came from.
When the record finally surfaced, remaining copies were wiped out globally in minutes. Originals started changing hands for over £100 on Discogs, making a repress not just inevitable but essential.
The EP itself is a tight, hardware driven statement. Four tracks built from Obzerv's live rig, each one leaning into heavy low end, crisp drum programming and raw electro funk energy.
Think prowling bass and hypnotic swing, deep and punchy rhythms, acidic flourishes and late night warehouse tension. It is functional, physical dance music that still carries a strong personality across the whole record.
Gunfinger Food have quietly built a reputation for no compromise vinyl only releases and a sharp ear for leftfield club music electronica.
Six years in, the label’s catalogue reflects a commitment to quality over hype, and this EP is a perfect example of that.
