"I met a guy in a pub..." is a deadset giveaway for a good yarn. From high hopes to high seas, Jack Moran's latest solo exhibition 'Kodama' chronicles the ~1,600 nautical miles that followed a chance encounter at the Nag's Head Hotel. Despite all odds, he lives to tell the tale.
That said, sailors and fishermen are notorious for tall tales – embellishing every detail for guts and glory. Every wave a little bigger, every close call a little closer with each telling. Take it with a tablespoon of sea salt. But between Jack’s Nikonos III and Bolex H16, there’s undeniable proof.

Said goodbye to the most incredible woman I have ever met last week. Grannie grew up in Parramatta, worked as a journalist in the 50s, raised a family and kept it all together for 90+ years. She always had faith in my career/life path and always talked fondly of the press photographers back in the day. She had a large archive and always talked about this photo of her at the Polo. It took her years to find it, it was a great day when she was able to show me. Here are some of my favourite articles she wrote and some pictures of her ❤️
The creators of Debaser, Jack Moran and Oscar Byrne, have transformed their love for the music and arts scene, to create a space for others to do the same. They have been hosting events in Sydney/Gadigal for four years, creating a sense of community and new memories for all.
I met them at Goodspace gallery in 2025 to learn about the making of Debaser and joined them at the Oxford Art Factory’s 18th birthday, an event they had helped bring to life.

Okie last post of the quarter. Very special start to the year, between juggling some of the biggest job I’ve worked on, putting on a solo Exhibtion I’ve done a bunch of living. And that’s been pretty damn special. Heading north for 2 weeks, some small availability late April & Early March ❤️
