After taking a gap year to work (to fund a startup) after high school, switching to three different unis and degrees, underloading to work on another startup, and taking another year off to study acting at NIDA...
I've finally graduated from my (first) bachelors degree.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and I didn't want to pretend to.
I didn't want to arbitrarily 'pick'.
Strategically following the changing whims of my curiosity to follow every clue of what I might be destroyed and rebuilt my identity regularly.
But you don't start from scratch, each newer model becomes harder to completely displace as you build a more and more accurate model of who you are. It goes from regular identity revolutions and existential crises early on, to more nuanced refinements later on.
I didn't force myself to have it figured it out, I forced myself to find evidence.
I know myself quite well now.
Not because I made up my mind, but because I made sure I didn't.
