had the honour yesterday of composing a piece of work live in just 2 hours for the wonderful @existingloudlyexhibit
the brief was sonder, and it got me excited about the idea of composing a small sonata where each movement was inspired by 4 different people I was watching in and around the exhibit. the piece was trying to score their movements, their conversations, their energies and their interactions as they went around - what kinda stuff they inspired in me and what kinda stuff I thought resonated in me about them. lots of cool people in that exhibit so I was very inspired indeed.
never done anything like this before but am very glad I did it. thank you @bellemariadonnelly and @lozami.l for the opportunity.
and of course thank you to the four people that inspired this I've no idea who you are but if I ever release it I'll reach out for your PRS numbers xxxxxxx

I had the honour of performing this live last year at the barbican at flames' sold out christmas show, and im so excited to get to listen to it back - i put a lot of heart into it as I love this song a lot, and am always very nervous to touch any of joni's songs.
also I wanna say the barbican in London is one of my favourite venues / buildings / libraries of all time - to play here on their gorgeous piano was SO exciting and being able to play on the stage that I've been to so many times to watch was such an honour.
