This monthâs headliner for Speakinâ Weird is Jackill!
An artist at the heart of the Aberdonian hip hop scene, Jackill has been releasing music both as a solo mc and a founding member of legendary local crew III Collective for over ten years.
Alongside his deft lyricism exploring local life, perseverance and solidarity, he has been a guiding force in developing Aberdeenâs creative scene through his work in community outreach and music tutoring, and he shows no signs of slowing down with a slew of releases planned for 2026.
Catch him next Monday evening 11th May, at the Gaelic Lane Cafe

Sending big love to all my friends and family and wishing everyone all the best for 2026.
This year has been full of ups and downs but grateful for it all nonetheless, lots of reflecting and personal growth in all forms - long may it continue.
Had the pleasure to have my daughter on stage with me performing her own original song at the Tall Ships Festival in the summer, a moment Iâll cherish forever.
Featured heavily on an incredible album with @vagrantproducer and almost wrapped up a project of my own for the new year.
Proud to see the growth in those close to me, I see youâs. Keep killing it. X
I held a private industry listening event for my new album đ§
It was great to see so many people from local creative organisations and bodies come together for the evening to chat around the project and whatâs happening in the city.
Big thanks to Aberdeen Performing Arts for hosting us at the Music Hall, and Kev on the filming & edit đ¤
