Hiiiii! 🦋 It’s been a while since I’ve had a proper intro 💫 My name is Jackie and I’m a Mexican-American designer, illustrator, and all around creative person. Some fun facts about me:
⭐️ I picked up bass about 4.5 years ago and just joined a band last year. It has been sooo refreshing to flex my creative muscles with music. I’ve always been pretty musical (I was in choir through high school!).
⭐️ I started running last year and am now I’m training for a 21 mile race in Big Sur (next month!!!).
⭐️ I have wayy too many plants and a specific obsession with orchids, carnivorous plants, and moss 🌿

Here’s how I illustrated my orchid 🌟It all starts in @adobe Illustrator on iPad and then I take it into After Effects to animate. In this age of AI I feel like it’s so cool to showcase your process and show all the work that goes into making your art 🦋 I also grew the orchid myself and got it to bloom. No shortcuts here haha 💫
Ins: saying yes to exciting things that scare you and leaning into that discomfort 💫
Outs: letting life pass you by and missing opportunities bc they’re uncomfortable (booo)
In 2026 I’m saying yes to pushing myself creatively, playing shows, making new friends, running long races, and having lots of fun!! xoxo 💫
November was such a whirlwind. Here are some highlights 💫

I got to spend ten lovely days in CDMX and it was truly a trip to remember💫🦋✨💕💍 We ate, drank, walked a ton, and ended the trip with a 3-day road trip through Veracruz, Morelos, and Puebla. Mexico was like my second home growing up and it’s sooo nice being able to come back and reestablish my own relationship with this beautiful place. Mexico forever!!! 💫
Earlier this year @claireshadomy and I went to brunch and a few mimosas in we decided we HAD to go to the miniature convention in town. I’m so glad we did. Please enjoy this miniature haul (plus some extras in my collection) 🫶🏽🌸✨

Welcome to the 2025 Bloom Report! This year has been the most successful bloom year yet, with over 20 total blooms from my orchid collection, four of which bloomed under my care for the first time. I must be doing something right! Orchids require constant upkeep and many only bloom once per year, so these blooms are truly a labor of love. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it! 🫶🏽🌸✨🦋💫⭐️💕🌸
