'Introducing Jackie Gritness' is releasing today. 🎵 Nobody knows me - yet it's time to shamelessly slut my first real House record out on the internet - not like it's the first time I'm slutting anything out online. 😇 It's got 12 inches, 2 sides, a textile-inspired screenprinted sleeve, hand-stamped personal facial attributes, killer mastering, and it's HOT PINK. 💅 (Well, 30 of 'em are.) It has serious wall-shaking beats and sleazy - yet freely interpretable enough words. I'm extra proud of how Randy & Alaia from @cqqlrecords went all the way with it. It's mostly inspired by the early Sound Factory vibes, but since I was 3 years old when that joint was happenin', it's probably a terrible version of it - yet I'm having so much fun doing it and, considering the wonderful support I've been humbled by during pre-release, it seems people are having fun playing it as well. It's how this bitch truly feels about House. ✊ It took me long enough to fearlessy embody that aforementioned bitch - now she's publicly spinnin' on pink plastic. 👠 Thanks to the whole @thenycdownlow crew for unlocking my optimal plastic spinning capacity through their life-changing atmosphere. 🫂 OK - I need sleep - thank you if y'all still readin'. 🙏 Cop it if you dig it. PREMIERE: Jackie Gritness - Fuc U Talmbout (Vicious Verbal Vers Mix) (CQQL Records) There’s this feeling that House Music is sometimes diluted into a pleasant, non-offensive and conformist formula. Well, Jackie Gritness - you may have heard of her big bro Gary - is bringin’ all the sweat, the attitude and the filth down - take it or leave it. Jackie introduces herself from both sides on this well strapped debut 12” - the slick swingin’ & sangin’ on the bass heavy A side, and the raw clave trax and cunty snarls of the acid-laced B side. No trace of over-production or tired sampling here: this is just Jackie, her mic and her lil’ groovebox - gettin’ raw in the studio just like she does onstage. Only thing added is some wall-shaking mastering by New York OG Dietrich Schoenemann. This is the kinda House that’s supposed to make regular folks wanna turn it off. This ain’t rated E for Everyone, it’s rated F for Freaks. "Gonna take U higher & higher" ✈️ This here is @heidilawden liftin the box up with the vocal mix of "Natural High" - always a special moment when you see that a tune you sang on is gettin' folks in the zone. 🪩 Well, if y'all wanna check it out - I'm happy to say @why_people_dance is runnin' the premiere for this one - and I guess considering their channel's name, what's happening on this video is a pretty fittin'.💃 I've been kinda chillin' since I told y'all I got this new project out. I've been lucky enough to follow @homo.centric records since the very beginning - my favorite tracks are 'Hector's Revenge' and 'Hora De Bailar' - and its manifesto had a profound effect on how I personally relate to House Music. ✊ Needless to say, I was very humbled when @gideon_dj_official asked me to play some basslines on his next joint in honor of @thecarrynation_nyc , a fierce New York City collective dedicated to keeping it real when it comes to the culture. 💯 I truly consider myself a Blues musician (some of y'all may know why) so when I saw the tune was called 'Carry's Blues', I figured out I might as well roll with some gutbucket licks here & there - and most of 'em ended up on the record. We decided to work with a "virtual synth" we both love, so as Gideon tweaked the panel on it to make it fit into the final mix, it was the closest to actually working together in the studio around that classic 101 instrument. 🎹 BTW - for all y'all wondering what the hell is this vacant profile about - don't worry hun, I got some of my own heat comin' later on this year... but for now, y'all just enjoy 'Carry's Blues' -- out now on @homo.centric records 💋

Feeling so truly privileged to be invited to @glastofest 's and @block9official 's mythical @thenycdownlow . I will never forget the first time I entered that room in 2017.
