Where to begin! I am truly, truly lucky to have met
@alysapires at the
@nychoreographicinstitute in 2018. On top of being a choreographic force, she is a virtuosic collaborator ā she never once shut down an idea but instead always pushed me to dig deeper, to follow ideas to their conclusion even if I didnāt know where they would land. I canāt thank her enough and am so proud of this piece.
@chrishemingwaysax took this sax part to places I couldnāt have imagined, and Iām so thankful to the incredible
@musiciansofnewyorkcityballet for embracing this weird, eclectic, glissandi-ridden piece and making it sound amazing.
@simoncictara is an absolute boss, stepping in just two days before the premiere to save the day.
Thank you to our amazing cast of dancers including
@adrianclay who was instrumental in the development of this piece from day 1 of the choreographic institute, and to
@wendyw @jonathanstafford_nycb and
@justin_peck for trusting us with such an enormous opportunity.
@bridget.conley thank you for keeping me sane over this last year - thereās no universe in which I could have done this without you
