New painting, “Brilliant Idiot” — 36x48” oil on Belgian linen.
Inspired by my lifelong love of the Grateful Dead and the beautiful friends and family I’ve connected with far and wide through the years, going to shows since I was a kid.
Late last night around 1am, our beautiful friend Chico Moon took his last breath. After we were told he only had a few hours at most after a vet visit, we spent as much time together as possible. Those few hours became 37 days together that were so beautiful and unforgettable. He was wagging his tail and being his loving self until the very last moment while we sang “Brokedown Palace” under the stars, prayed for his soul’s smooth return to source, and dug his grave. To know Chico was to love him, and we will carry that love with us eternally.
I came upon Jacks work @jack_shure from Instagram and started to DM him right away. We’ve always had a good back and forth relationship and I’ve loved seeing how he’s matured. His textiles are just insane and I love the juxtapositions he throws in many of his works. I’m happy to have Jack in the ‘Have A Heart’ @stjude fundraiser. Here’s a little bio in Jacks own words…My work is a distilled reflection of the of the significant moments, lessons and inspirations of my life. Pulling imagery from both my childhood, currently and perhaps the future simultaneously. I want my pictures to tell a story that is not an obvious one, but one that takes a moment of contemplation and discovery while pushing boundaries of ugliness and beauty. It invites the observer to recognize that one cannot exist without the other. To me beauty is a choice by way of transmutation thus, only existing through perception. Because of this my work is organic in a way that it is constantly evolving and transforming itself.’’

It is with great pleasure that I announce my participation in this absolutely epic show at @zepstergallery , curated by my good friend @djkcaruso . This lineup is stacked with such amazing artists, and all proceeds go to charity.
It is with great excitement that I officially announce my upcoming show in Seoul, South Korea, at @the.untitled.void . “New Year’s Resolution” opens on January 7 and runs through February 7. Keep your eyes peeled for new work.
New painting. I haven’t been sharing much of my work on here lately, but I just finished this one and thought I’d share a video so you can see the details. This piece is a collaboration with my 4-year-old daughter, Edah. At first, she was a little scared of the juggalo face paint I added, but now she thinks it’s cool too.
