Every single sacrifice I make today is for these people. Without being hyperbolic, being born into a family this amazing seems to be similar odds to literally winning the lottery. Incredibly thankful. When I’ve built a literal village I can’t wait to share it with them.

“Billionaires are some of the highest-integrity people in the world. Yes or No?” Obviously this is a generalized statement. Almost 80% of people voted no. This tells me that the topic struck a nerve. Yet we (myself certainly included) order the convenient Amazon packages and are happy to buy our daily coffee from Starbucks. In order to create a billionaire in the first place, it takes our buy-in en masse to do so. Now… St. Louis was recently devastated by a tornado. - I don’t see any of these large companies that we support with our $$$ contributing to the tornado relief. A small business that has done this? Omen Coffee Co. They have consistently had boots on the ground, going directly into the devastation and gathering their community to help homeowners clean their houses up. Even outside of this, they’ve done coat drives for the homeless during the winter, built a community garden, organized financial literacy seminars, and much more. Yet Starbucks shops are the most commercially successful coffee shops in St. Louis. The incentive structure we as consumers are creating is backwards. "I continue supporting businesses that don't reinvest in my community over those that do, even as I criticize the billionaires my choices help create." Omen Coffee Co. should be the most commercially successful coffee shop in St. Louis based on OUR CLAIMED ideals. If we supported businesses like Omen with our dollars the way we support businesses like Starbucks, we would be ensuring that our community was taken care of in times of need. The more commercially successful businesses like Omen are, the more our community is strengthened and supported. I’m not even saying don’t buy from Starbucks, nor am I saying that big corporations have an obligation to help our community. But I am as asking if our ideals are aligned with our choices. If not, we should correct them at every chance we get. Not only to be aligned with our community, but to be aligned with GOD. “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country.” - John F. Kennedy

A philosophy I have that I am so far confident in is optimizing for people that I have the highest level of trust in over optimizing for someone with the highest level of skill. @jakey_lemon is that person for me. When he came onto @noblelorevideo just under a year ago, he had literally no camera experience. But… he was one of my closest friends at the time. Someone that I knew I could trust with literally anything: my bank account, my family, my car (rare). Since he has come on he has completely and utterly helped develop the business. Not only with his significant improvement in his camera ability, but mainly with the peace of mind I have knowing someone is totally invested in what we are building. I will never have to look over my shoulder. Trust is one of the most important things I have found in any friendship, relationship, etc. Ask yourself daily, “Who is the person I can trust more than anyone in the world” and hold onto that person.

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” - Benjamin Franklin Every men’s group we prompt our speakers to help the group walk away with something actionable from their presentation. This month (May) our speaker is David Oransky, an investment expert that is excellent at breaking down complex financial subjects into understandable and actionable pieces of information. This is a great opportunity to improve your financial literacy. Hope to see you there!

We understand almost everything through stories. The reason we don’t like someone is because we’ve painted a story of who that person is and what their intentions are. The reason we are too afraid to approach a crush is because we’ve told ourselves a story of why it won’t work. Faith does not exist without a story to accompany it. Sometimes, maybe even most times, a story can be true without ever having happened in our world. @benjamin421 is creating one of the most beautiful stories this world will ever see through his work in cellular reprogramming. I’m extremely grateful to be his friend, and grateful to be able to capture the origins of such a giant dream.

A podcast on Apple or Spotify is not a search engine. That means discovery is difficult—you won’t be easily found. But when you bring on a new guest for each episode, you’re essentially creating a human search engine. By leveraging someone else’s audience, you expand your reach. This is especially important if you’re running an audio-only podcast without the SEO benefits of platforms like YouTube. Start thinking about your podcast as a networking tool, not just a content channel.
