Itās been a whirlwind of a year, and I am forever grateful for what itās given me.
Halfway through the year I made the jump from photo to video, and itās a decision I wasnāt sure would work out.
Iāve always loved film and cinematography, but I wasnāt able to get into it in the past for fear of not knowing how and where to start. I was also afraid Iād be so behind and would have to start from scratch.
But what Iāve learned since Iāve started with film is: just do it. Just start. Start scared. Start with your heart in your throat from the nervousness of being inadequate. Start because you just might enjoy it, and start in spite of fear and everything in you that says no. Starting is always the most daunting, but once youāve done that, youāve already done the hardest part. You canāt get better at something if you never begin.
Thereās so much to learn, and I canāt wait to see where it takes me. Excited to grow and see what projects Iāll take part in and the people Iāll meet along the way.
Thank you to everyone Iāve worked with throughout the year; you inspire me to be true, be great and be humble.

Dream.
Iāve always had a dream to work in sports, on the brightest stages, on a daily and continual basis.
Once a year, the Raptors 905 play at Scotiabank Arena, the home of the Toronto Raptors, and itās the closest to a sold out arena that carries approximately eighteen/nineteen thousand people. I always look forward to these games, because it challenges me to adapt to my environments and it gives me a taste of what itās like to work under pressure.
I havenāt been doing video for very long so I was especially nervous that I wouldnāt be able to film what I wanted to film, especially for a big game like this, and I wanted to get it right. I only had one chance, and I had to make it count.
Be gracious with yourself for where you are, but donāt let fear and failure deter you from who you will and want to be.
Dream. Dream big.
