2 years ago and this will never get old. - a bit of backstory on how this cover came about. The day of the shoot, Design STL editor-in-chief, @vtlookbook called me to inform me the photographer had seen a dress on my profile which she thought would photograph very well on site. I was a bit apprehensive and astonished because I already had my ensamble reviewed and approved months in advanced. So much thought went into what I wanted to wear for such a honorable moment. I had decided on a gorgeous peacock feather Gucci dress. A statement piece. “Something Izzy would wear” as my friends would say. 😌 However, I trusted the vision of the photographer, the creatives and the amazing team of Design STL Magazine. We shot both dresses on site and unequivocally this green Oscar de la Renta velvety corduroy dress became one with the beauty of the backdrop of stained glass doors and orange wood tones in the breathtaking #frankfloydwright house. My original choice made it to the spread and it was equally as beautiful as I had envisioned it however, when I saw the front cover and compared it to the other dress, I knew it was #kismet and a whole lot of talent from an awesome team of creatives at @designstl In short order, this one is for the books!
