I debated even posting about this weekend. More than ever I feel conflicted about the work I do and how it benefits from the risks these riders take. I have an indescribable amount of respect for each and every person who lines up at the top of this mountain or even throws their name in the hat to do so. I think I say this in every post- but I feel so honored to make art with these athletes. I have so much respect for every single rider and while my thoughts are predominantly with those who were injured, part of me also feels that it’s important to celebrate the successes of every single person there.
1)
@johanssoemil in practice. One of my favorite riders to shoot and watch. Emil is a force to be reckoned with and I’m rooting for him through his recovery.
2)
@jaxsonriddle and his mini-me, Auzzy.
3)
@tom_isted putting down a hell of a run
4)
@carsonstorch on one of the cleanest runs I’ve ever seen. Proud of our hometown player, not just for his riding, but for showing up for others all week.
5)
@juleslangeard and
@paulcouderc with probably the most joyful moment on the ridge that day. Grateful these guys were around
6)
