Realized after I shot these last weekend that I’d moved to Bend exactly two years ago to the day. When I moved, I worried that leaving the Tetons would be a death sentence for my career, but in a funny and completely accidental way, these photos are representative of how untrue that’s proved to be. At risk of sounding sappy, I’d wager that some of the most pivotal moments of the last six years have been shooting mtb in Bend and further, and coincidentally with @cammccaul @ryan.mcnulty and @carsonstorch at different times. Anyway, these guys and others put in a ton of work rebuilding the Lair, not to mention all the work they’ve done on other new trails over the last year. Bend is so lucky to have riders that are stoked to build and give back to their community and I feel lucky to be able to shoot jumps like these in my backyard!

photo dump of some of my favorite moments from one of the biggest work weeks I’ve had all winter - @powdermagazine ‘s 2026 ski test. @rax_mitter had a vision and brought it to life with a group of folks who were a true delight to shoot, hot tub, après, and ski with! What began as some very talented skiers making lemonade out of some icy, muddy, lemons quickly turned to a full on froth-fest. It was a cherry on top that Mother Nature and @grandtargheeresort rewarded us for a week of work by closing it out with some of the best ski conditions I’ve ever experienced. Legs are cooked, hard drive is full, cheers to everyone who trenched a turn, reviewed a ski, took a Jell-O shot, and kept the vibes high✨

b+w’s from @thesnowleague turned 28 last week, skied in my fourth country of the year, shot halfpipe for the first time, and met some folks I’ve looked up to for a long long time thank you @thesnowleague for bringing me out with @powdermagazine ! I’m so grateful for the chance to cover such an epic event that’s making waves in the snowsports industry. the format of this event is unreal cool, as is its commitment to supporting the athletes that participate. it was both a reminder that skiing is my home and of the ways that sliding on snow, no matter how many planks are on your feet, brings people together.

brought a point & shoot to Japan and here’s what I saw: Tokyo @berklymartll ‘s long long leggies cruising uphill on the way to ski some of the best snow ever A sunset on Mt Myoko More of Tokyo An airport hotel bathroom that was perfect for a last minute ski bag repack / an artful depiction of how coming home felt Other things I saw: My own true and undying love for Onigiri and red bean paste So many f*cking creeks and my own mortality Reminders to trust your gut when ordering at an izakaya and always How beautiful it is to bathe with your friends every day

a couple little snaps from the trip of a lifetime to Georgia in January with @powdermagazine @caite_zeliff and @northeastmountaineering ! this trip was incredibly special in so many ways. It pushed me out of my comfort zone repeatedly - on skis, behind the camera, in traveling - and it made me fall back in love with shooting every little thing, not just the big action moments or perfect sunrises. it felt like finding a new path forward and coming home to a dream I’d always had all at once. I am forever grateful to all those that supported me in going, to the whole crew there for making it so epic, and to Caite and Corey for bringing me along. *and if you’re ever looking to ski internationally, Corey (@northeastmountaineering ) is 10/10 the guide to go with!

Max told me about Asahidake three or four years ago now when we pitched a photo trip to Japan trip together. As the pitch process sometimes goes, the trip never came to fruition, but skiing Asahidake remained in the back of my mind if I ever did make it here. The last time I talked to Max was two weeks before he passed and it was because I’d found a photo of him from 2016 on the website of the guide company I was booking for Asahidake. We discovered we’d miss each other by a few days on our trips, but he was so excited for me to finally come ski Japan and Asahidake and he promised to tell me how it was when he made it up here. We haven’t been quite as lucky as everyone else in Japan this winter with ski conditions this trip and this was the only ski day we truly had planned out. It was warm yesterday and rainy in Furano and it could very much have been a gamble on a not-so-great day of skiing. Asahidake got 30cm overnight and went blue this morning and we had one of the most incredible ski days I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t know what I believe in, but somehow it feels like the universe delivered the experience for a reason. I’m very grateful for the day with my friends and our amazing guide, Kat, and to have gotten to make a whole days worth of turns for Max. I wish more than anything that I could tell Max how epic it was and thank him for all of it.

headed out for a big one today! never in a million years did I think I’d be hoping on a plane (or three) to such a far corner of the world to shoot photos and ski. grateful for all the people that have believed in me and brought me here and for a few snowy turns at home yesterday before a lot of time sitting down💺 📸: the one and only @mcpillsburyy

A few more Rampage shots, shot almost entirely during the practice days (except the one of Carson)- however I feel about the experience, I’m proud of the images I shot in the days leading up to finals. In the week following finals, I flew home, unpacked, repacked, and flew to Arizona to race 100 miles of gravel. The physical and mental comedown from Rampage is usually a doozy and this year was probably more so, which primed me to get sick right before the race. Despite all my training, my body wanted to give up on me for every single mile (except for a random few from mile 72-85). In the end, I made it all 100 miles. maybe posting bike photos will convince me I want to get back on a bike (but only because it isn’t snowing much yet….❄️❄️❄️)

I debated even posting about this weekend. More than ever I feel conflicted about the work I do and how it benefits from the risks these riders take. I have an indescribable amount of respect for each and every person who lines up at the top of this mountain or even throws their name in the hat to do so. I think I say this in every post- but I feel so honored to make art with these athletes. I have so much respect for every single rider and while my thoughts are predominantly with those who were injured, part of me also feels that it’s important to celebrate the successes of every single person there. 1) @johanssoemil in practice. One of my favorite riders to shoot and watch. Emil is a force to be reckoned with and I’m rooting for him through his recovery. 2) @jaxsonriddle and his mini-me, Auzzy. 3) @tom_isted putting down a hell of a run 4) @carsonstorch on one of the cleanest runs I’ve ever seen. Proud of our hometown player, not just for his riding, but for showing up for others all week. 5) @juleslangeard and @paulcouderc with probably the most joyful moment on the ridge that day. Grateful these guys were around 6) @haydenzabl0tny putting down his winning run. Proud as heck of you, Zablo 7) you can almost feel @adolfsilva ‘s infectious good energy through this photo. Thinking about you lots, loco❤️‍🩹 8) @thomasgenon warming up for a very well deserved podium spot 9) your favorite rider’s favorite rider, @finleykirsch . 10) @tomaslemoine with another incredible rookie run Feeling the joy in these moments and thinking about @johanssoemil @adolfsilva & @aiden_parish83 a whole lot🤍
