Last September, we rented a van and drove (18hrs through the night) from LA to my family’s land in Montana with all of our gear and our portable pizza oven to film videos for my upcoming record. We set up in each location with a generator and recorded and filmed these live. What you hear is what you see. I’m so incredibly grateful for @finderspictures being willing to take my crazy idea and turn it into something beautiful. Thank you, my friends and band mates for making this come to life and taking driving shifts on this adventure!
Without Blaine, this would not have happened. He has the unique and rare gift of never giving up, creative problem solving, and inspirational musical ideas.

For my first year gardening, having an abundance of herbs for dinner is such a gift.
I still have no idea what I’m doing but the lessons of sowing and reaping still come.
The generosity of the soil still shares.
And learning to grow your own food is very punk rock. 🧚
ps. My current obsession is a lemon spindrift with choke cherry syrup made from the trees literally outside my house 💖 and why not drink it out of a tiki mug for funsies??

I’ll never forget my dad showing me this album when I was 6 years old. He put it on my iPod and I listened to it over and over and over. It’s one of my top 5 favorite albums and has influenced my songwriting tremendously. It will always be one of those records that cradles me every time I listen, revealing new details as I evolve and grow.

I’m currently reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer and wow it really changed my life. We so often greedily take from the world as humans, but we have a responsibility to take care of our beautiful earth. Initiating and reciprocating generosity. To treat all of creation and each other with respect and reverence. The writing is deeply thoughtful, beautifully symbolic and extremely timely. I think America would be a better place if we all read this book. Highly recommend!
