It was an absolute privilege to put this double-sided gem together for @ssawent ’s 35th anniversary reissue!! This was such a milestone project for so many reasons: 1. My first job in Asia 2. It’s the first zoetrope record to be released in South Korea 🤯 3. I had the honour of animating the early illustration work of @dohosuhstudio (original album art), whose practice I’ve followed for around a decade now! An enormous thankyou for @jjtone for having me along for the ride and to @junelee.lje for being a dream to work with from start to finish. You guys are awesome 🖤

Had the great pleasure of working with @easyliferecords on this zoetrope record for @softcultband ’s When a Flower Doesn’t Grow, which is available to order now via their website! Injected a little Black Country love into this one- the flowers and petals in this piece were photographed at the @walsall.arboretum last year. Seemed appropriate as it’s the place I always find myself in at times of reflection and transformation 🖤

I had the BEST time animating the gloriously bizarre illustrations of @joe_whiteford for the zoetrope vinyl release of his Harley Poe record “Have A Great Life”!! Definitely the most fun I had on a project last year, huge thanks to Anthony at @chainsmokingrecords for having me along for this one 🖤 These records will be shipped out in March- but there’s only 75 left out of 500 (wow!) so get your preorder in quick time if you fancy your very own copy 🧠👋

✨Artist Spotlight: Izzie Arrowsmith ✨ This month, we’re shining a light on artist Izzie Arrowsmith (@izziearrowsmith ), who has been an inspiring presence in our gallery. With a background in Fine Art from Coventry University (@cucoventry ) and an MA in Art and Design: Interdisciplinary Practices from BCU (@mybcu ), Izzie specialises in printmaking and animation, creating work that exists beautifully at the intersection of the physical and the digital. In 2023, Izzie completed her first artist residency with Stryx Gallery at our Jewellery Quarter site. During her time here, she developed her studio practice further and collaborated with an incredible network of artists and creatives. Following her residency, Izzie became a Stryx studio holder, growing her practice within our creative community. Alongside this, she became a valued member of the team as part of our front-of-house staff. Since then, Izzie’s work has grown in scale and visibility, including a series of exciting commissions with Sony Music 🎵, creating animated zoetrope vinyls for: • Take That (2024) (@takethat ) • SSaw in South Korea (2024) (@ssawent ) • Scouting for Girls (2025) (@scoutingforgirls ) We feel incredibly lucky to have had Izzie as part of our gallery’s story. Her creativity, commitment, and forward-thinking approach have made a lasting impression as she moves on to pastures new. Apologies for the late post and general quietness- I’m currently very poorly with my back/hip/leg and working at my desk/getting up the studio has been really difficult lately. I have an ultrasound and an MRI soon so 🤞🏻 for some answers and proper treatment!!

Caitlyn reimagined some of her architecture-inspired drawings as Lino prints and they came out amazing… Definitely some upcoming talent to keep an eye on!!
