Premonition: At the end of a dream of a cave, a portal An atmosphere hangs weighted, falling upward toward the floor. Rhiannon Newton and Ivey Wawn inhabit dances that have already lived. They become hosts to a constellation of memories. In a durational performance that cycles between premonition and fulfilment, each iteration emerges, transforms, and disappears. Premonition unfolds as a shifting dreamscape, infesting the crevices of joints, nerve endings, cracks in the floor, and other dark interiors. We hope to see you in the cave. 📆 Sat 23 & 24 May, 2–4pm Audiences are invited to come and go as they please. 🔗 Register at the link in our bio 📹 Nisa East

'Premonition: At the end of a dream of a cave, a portal' is a practice of inhabiting dances that have already lived. Infesting the crevices of joints, nerve endings, cracks in the floor, and other dark interiors, Rhiannon Newton and Ivey Wawn have become hosts to a constellation of growths, memories and emergent archetypes. In a durational performance that cycles between premonitions and their fulfilment, they collaborate with artist Del Lumanta to exorcise these hostings and outlay a dreamscape that resides only at the distant end of a portal. On 23 and 24 May, the barn doors at Critical Path will be open and audiences are welcome to come and go as they please. Each cycle lasts 20 minutes but never repeats. We hope to see you in the cave. 📆Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 May, 2-4 pm Attendance free. Register at the link in our bio 🔗

Join us tomorrow night to celebrate the launch of our latest exhibition, 'All That is Alive', with a one-off performance from exhibiting artist Ivey Wawn. Launch event: Friday 27 February 5 to 7 pm 🚀 After a Welcome to Country with Jason Kerr, and opening remarks by the curators, Ivey will present the live performance of 'Feeling in a triangle'. This will be a one-off performance in Bendigo, so be sure not to miss it! 'Feeling in a triangle' navigates the vulnerability of being alive. Wawn’s body movements and vocal loops—falling, failing, losing, feeling—are actively noticing what we carry unseen within us, like a nervous system being cruised. 'All That is Alive' is curated by Connie Anthes, Stella Rosa McDonald, Jacqui Shelton, Amelia Wallin, and features work by Tully Arnot, Saskia van Pagee Anderson, Kylie Banyard, Elisa Jane Carmichael, Sonja Carmichael, Madeleine Collie, Other Matter, Sarah Poulgrain, Mandy Quadrio, Keg de Souza, Magnetic Topographies, Ivey Wawn Image: Ivey Wawn, 'Feeling in a triangle' development documentation, 2026. All profits from the sales of INNOCENCE: Dissent the Scent will go to @gazachildrensfund . We have just a few left of these very limited batch perfumes made by @ofbody.nz especially for INNOCENCE @ngvmelbourne . Please be in touch if you’d like one. They will never be replicated again. Recommended retail price of AUD$120. Script from INNOCENCE: “Thank you so much for joining us. Let’s begin, again, with an ongoing acknowledgement, of the rightful custodians of this land, where we are working from and consuming art today, the Wurundjeri Woi Worrung and Bunorong peoples of the Kulin nation, sharing our respect for elders past, present and future. Welcome to INNOCENCE, a new dance work commissioned by the NGV for this year’s Triennial. It’s very special for us to all be here, together, today, in real life. An experience of being in the room together, for something that will only happen in this moment. An experience that is increasingly under threat and something we need to actively preserve. To mark the occasion today, we have created this very special vial of perfume oil, as you can see in it’s beautiful packaging here. The perfume was made especially for this work by Nathan Taare, an esteemed perfumer at Of Body, from Aotearoa NZ. It has notes of tangerine, melon, morning fog, rose petal, jasmine dew, vetiver…It’s a middle eastern style Attar, which is a very potent style of perfume, a little goes a long way, and yet because it’s an oil, it stays close to your body. I highly recommend taking a deep breath of it. Actually, would you like a try? (try on audience) The perfumes are available right out there, in the courtyard for sale today only, after the show. We accept cash and card. Thank you.” Choreographer and Dancer – Atlanta Eke @atlantaeke Executive Producer – Hana Miller @hana.r.miller Sound Compositon and Performance – Daniel Jenatsch @timecrisis_ii Scenography – Tim Birnie @dawnarchitecture_ Video and Projection Design – Hana Miller and Jacob Perkins / @rdystdy Dancer – Ivey Wawn @iwawn Dancer – Angela Goh @ange_goh 3D Beast Renders - Weston Symes @westonsymes @westonsymes

Went to the aquarium for our staff party… highly recommend. What a team! Biggest lovey feelings to all our crew at Fontana who work super hard to make it the best place always. Some pictured here, others not. Only cos I was too transfixed in the moment most of the time. Big shout out to @naattaliie for sending me this photo of @fluff_mailler and I, which is maybe my favourite photo of us? (There are many) Also big shout to @tiramisu_diaries for the shot of me feeding chantilly to @charlieruby straight from the bag! A keeper (the photo, the Charlie and the Dan) ❤️❤️ xoxo Not tagged bc I don’t have their ig but just as appreciated: Han, Dan Wayne, Dave, Patt and Frank.
