UPDATED C86’d DIY Vol. 16: Savannah, GA’s @rosemarynodsuponthegrave ‘s new EP is out today & we are so excited to welcome them to NYC in a couple weeks with Lancaster, PA’s @fragile_like_life_after ! We are extremely grateful for Silverdollar (@hennylitvirgil ) for hopping on last minute to bless us with their post-jazz-emotional-grindcore. The “Consideration 3” is a wild ride that feels both at home in NYC & in outer space - come take a ride. Emotional hardcore and screamo take many forms and Southern bands tend to do it a bit differently. Rosemary Nods Upon the Grave’s screamo is rooted very much in the present sound, with melodic guitars giving way to post hardcore jams and, at times, blistering crusty beats. Fragile Like Life After’s sound comes from a different place, bringing a modern take on the late 90s Gainesville & DC emo sound (fans of Twelve Hour Turn & Engine Down should check in) - with screaming and singing battling to reach heights above their driving post-rock guitars. Joining our friends on this tour stop is NYC’s screamo power trio @iwantedforever (x Massa Nera & Swan of Tuonela) will also be joining us after dropping their killer two song demo. C86’d DIY Vol. 14: Ostraca return to NYC! On Saturday November 22nd @ostracaband will be making their way back up the East Coast to spend a special evening with us at @trans.pecos ! Ostraca’s southern vein of blackened screamo has been a constant in the chaotic hardcore scene for the past decade and truly one of our favorite bands. The power and fury delivered by this three piece is hard to match and every time we seen them we leave the show blown away. Earlier this year they released “Eventualities” on @persistentvisionrecords - one of the best records of 2025. Joining them will be some of our friends from NY & NJ: @grimlitter has been blowing minds in NYC for the past two years with their unique take on screamo channeling familiar sounds of indie rock and shoegaze while constantly bringing the chaos. @stress.spells tight and technical skramz is the pride of New Jersey and so excited that they are making the journey over the bridges and tunnels again to join us. Last but not least we are happy to welcome @iwantedforever the new band from members of Massa Nera & Swan of Tuonela. This will be the NYC based trios second show! It seems every band and venue is pulling out the stops, announcing some wild shows to close out the year. Well, we're no different, because as excited as we are about the fest next month, we've got some killer shows coming soon after that we're sure you'll be stoked on! First up is this one: kicking things off on Saturday, November 1st with the return of Chicago emoviolence phenoms Lord Snow! This'll be their 1st NYC show in a decade, so obviously not one to miss!
