Rendez-vous à Saint-Briac 2026 @rendez.vous.a.saint.briac Du 14 au 17 mai 2026 C'est notre 5e année et pour nous c'est toujours le même plaisir 💕 C'est un peu comme notre colo pref'... En 2025, très très heureux d'emmener avec nous à Saint-Briac, quelques talentueux.ses artistes qui ont investi Atelier Marcelin l'automne dernier : @heloise.blume @iwan_warnet @jeanne.tresvaux.du.fraval ---------------------- Portrait d'artiste @iwan_warnet Iwan Warnet est né en 1996, à Brest. Diplômé de la @hear.fr , où il a étudié dans l’atelier de peinture, il vit et travaille maintenant entre la Bretagne et la région parisienne. En parallèle de sa pratique de plasticien, il est peintre décorateur pour le théâtre et l’opéra. Avec sa peinture, Iwan Warnet brouille les frontières entre abstraction et figuration, et explore, à travers les ambiguïtés de la représentation, la part active des regardeur·euse·s dans la perception d’une image. Il se place du côté de l’allusion plutôt que de l’affirmation, joue du soupçon d’aspect et du ralentissement du regard. Il crée une œuvre de l’indice et du fragment, guidée par un rapport intime à la figure humaine. Cette dernière, souvent présente en filigrane, affleure par traces ou par évocations sensibles. L’artiste prête à ses surfaces une dimension affective: les roses de la teinture de garance peuvent évoquer la peau, une toile se pare d’un bijou et de fard pour une revisite du thème du nocturne. Ses expositions récentes se présentent sous forme d’installations où les œuvres sont pensées en symbiose avec le site, tant dans leur conception que dans leur occupation de l’espace. 🅺 🆆 🅸 🆆 🆂 🅵 with @kellyweiss__ & @samuel.francois at @bertholdpott gallery, Cologne - 14.03-06.05.2026 ——— June 2025 : Kelly Weiss, Iwan Warnet and Samuel François are welcomed by La Tannerie, an art center in Brittany (France), for a month-long artistic residency.Explore the garden, unpack and arrange the paintings, observe the changing weather, share meals, gather materials, dye paper, open the windows to the dragonflies, hang each other’s work, sow clues – all these were ways of immersing themselves in the situation and creating work with it. Through mutual influences, they constructed an exhibition as the sedimented traces of their presence, built for this space pierced by windows opening onto a garden and swept by the changing lights of the coastal skies. What remains if we strip away all the romantic aspects of Breton architecture in the heart of a garden during the summer ? Here, in a white cube, the works reveal themselves for what they are : rusty asperities on a cotton canvas, several aspects of refined petrol, paper dyed by long-faded flowers... Each of these three practices is constructed with attention to surfaces, to the unexpectedness of their transitory states. They both like to work with what is already there, recognising the value of simple gestures, everyday materials, and processes that are sometimes discreet. Surfaces become spaces for interactions, where chemical transformations, the passage of light, traces of use converge. This is not a matter of direct representation, but rather of infusion : these surfaces are the sensory transcriptions of an environment. It is through the attention with which the artists weave links between their works and the particularities of a space that the exhibition becomes a shared environment, an installation by a trio in which each artist’s forms assume their porosity to those of the others.

Ma peinture « Les Amers [10] », 2020, est présentée dans l’exposition « La vie climatique » au [MAC] Marseille jusqu’au 20 septembre 2026. Une exposition organisée par @adiaf_o - AMER, n. masc. : Un amer est un point de repère utilisé en navigation pour prendre des relèvements optiques, ou pour suivre un alignement. Dans cette série de peintures, « Les Amers » je m’intéressait au mouvement d’abstraction à partir d’une source : la carte maritime. Celle-ci est déjà, en soi, une translation et projection du réel : lignes de côtes, balises, phares, courbes de niveaux, disent un paysage en même temps qu’une première symbolisation plastique. La fabrique de mon geste consistait dans le prolongement de cette translation du réel à la carte, vers le dessin puis sa traduction en peinture. Le littoral dessiné sur ces cartes, celui des Abers, dans le Nord du Finistère, est un territoire intime pour moi, il est celui où j’ai grandi, et où j’étais revenu installer mon atelier après mes études d’art à Strasbourg.

Over this extended period of time and through mutual influences, the exhibition KWIWSF was constructed as the sedimented traces of their presence in the space. It is the result of this time spent together. For Berthold Pott Cologne they developed a new version of the exhibition at La Tannerie, interacting with the different space constellation of the gallery.

Pour l'occasion Sylvain Le Corre et Elen Cornec invitent Iwan Warnet et Héloïse Blume, jeunes artistes émergent.e.s, pour une exposition croisée. A travers cette exposition, le duo d'artistes vient dialoguer par la peinture, la sérigraphie, le dessin ou encore la micro-édition. Cette discussion des œuvres témoignent de la résonnance de leur attrait pour le floral et le mystère de ce qui s'ouvre à la nuit... Le choix des artistes s'est porté sur une installation commune, conjuguant leurs créations avec celles de l'autre et inversement. Encore quelques jours pour venir voir : 𝗞 𝗪 𝗜 𝗪 𝗦 𝗙 𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 28.08-05.10.2025 à @latannerie_begard avec @kellyweiss__ et @samuel.francois — Depuis 3 ans, j’ai la chance d’avoir rejoint l’équipe associative qui gère et fait vivre ce magnifique lieu d’art en milieu rural qu’est la Tannerie. Cette exposition, c’est l’aboutissement d’un désir qui m’habite depuis mon premier passage à la Tannerie en 2021 : celui de produire une exposition à la mesure de ce lieu, une exposition qui se construit dans un rapport sensible avec celui-ci (sa lumière, ses matériaux, la présence si importante du jardin qui l’entoure). C’est naturellement qu’est venue l’idée d’inviter Kelly Weiss et Samuel François pour concevoir ensemble ce travail. Nous partageons depuis des années une attention aux surfaces, aux rapports entre œuvres et espaces, qui nourrit nos regards et nos pratiques plastiques, qui alimente nos dialogues depuis notre rencontre à la Haute École des Arts du Rhin de Strasbourg. Nous avons commencé à penser ce projet d’expo il y a un an, puis l’été a été le temps d’une résidence de création magnifique, un véritable laboratoire d’accrochage, où nous avons élaboré de nouvelles pièces, soulevé quantité de possibilités d’accrochages... L’exposition s’est constituée peu-à-peu, par les liens que nous avons tendu entre nos œuvres et les intuitions que le lieu faisait germer. Les lumières changeantes jouent sur les surfaces, les phénomènes météo changent la perception, une libellule passe encore parfois... Merci à Kelly Weiss et Samuel François pour la préciosité de ces moments de création commune. Merci à La Tannerie pour l’accueil et la beauté du lieu. L’exposition fera l’objet d’une publication qui sort dans quelques jours, comprenant des photos de l’exposition ainsi qu’un entretien croisé entre les trois artistes. Photos: @margauxolivre « Invité·e·s en résidence de création pendant l’été, Kelly Weiss, Iwan Warnet et Samuel François sont venu·e·s habiter La Tannerie dans la perspective d’y concevoir une exposition en trio. Ils et elle ont fait de cette résidence un temps où les réflexions autour de la mise en espace des oeuvres se nourrissent de l’expérience vécue du lieu, où la complicité artistique se mêle à celle du quotidien. Parcourir le jardin, déployer et disposer les peintures amenées, observer l’influence des changements météorologiques, partager les repas, glaner des matériaux, teindre du papier, ouvrir les fenêtres aux libellules, accrocher le travail des autres, penser le parcours de ceux qui viendront visiter, semer des indices, faire se répondre les surfaces, laisser entrer un courant d’air, auront été autant de manières de s’imprégner de la situation et de faire oeuvre avec elle. Sur ce temps étiré et par influences réciproques, l’exposition s’est construite comme les traces sédimentées de leurs présences dans le lieu. Chaque objet, chaque surface, y a trouvé sa place ou s’est fabriqué dans ce lien étroit et sensible à l’architecture. Les poutres dessinent une grille sous laquelle les agencements prennent place, les fenêtres sont des cadrages sur le jardin mais aussi des supports pour que la lumière révèle la transparence des matériaux, l’irrégularité des murs chaulés et le dessin des pierres déterminent l’emplacement des oeuvres et prolongent l’attention de l’oeil aux surfaces… » L’exposition est ouverte les mercredis de 14h30 à 19h & du vendredi au dimanche de 14h30 à 19h.
