What a wonderful evening we had at @ivyexeter sipping on 1930’s inspired cocktails, estate menu inspired salads, the finest 21 day aged sirloin steaks and I’m going to be thinking about that desert for days - The Orchard Apple Tart with Calvados, reminiscent of the kind of indulgence served during lavish dinner parties at the Abbey 🍽️

My husband and I had date night on Monday, sampling the new seasonal menu! I am so ready for these colder months & what better way to welcome the 'ber months than with autumnal flavours.
Greeted with truffle aranchini balls and their warm salted bread, our evening was off to a gorgeous start 💫

Wow, just wow. I think this has to have been my favourite meal at The Ivy yet! I actually cannot stop thinking about the Crispy duck salad, I didn't want it to end!
The linguine was al dente and it was perfectly creamy but with so many scallops and prawns.
The steak was served on the bone which not many places do so that was really nice, and it was really good steak.
The desserts were fun yet so full of flavour.
I actually really struggled to choose what to eat as there was so many amazing options!! But we absolutely loved every single dish we had so I was really happy with our choices.

A touch of Rosé evening at The Ivy with the loveliest group of girlie's 🌸✨️🤍
I was kindly invited down for an evening sampling gorgeous food & drinks from their new summer menu. The menu is so so lovely, and they have paired the food with rosé which compliments it all beautifully.
We started off with their truffle bon bons and zucchini (my first time and LOVED them!). I then had scallops & blackened cod. Perfection ✨️
We had a private dining experience which was just so super special, and the room was one of the most aesthetically pleasing rooms I've ever had the pleasure of dining in.
A beautiful evening from start to finish, with so much attention to detail. The Ivy is arguably one of the prettiest restaurants in Exeter. Match that with stunning food and drinks and you have the ultimate package ✨️

#AD Last week, my friend Kathryn and I had the pleasure of experiencing The Ivy’s 1917 Heritage Menu, and it exceeded our expectations.
For the Table: The truffle arancini were perfectly crisp with an indulgent truffle centre, while the courgette fritti arrived beautifully light, accompanied by a refreshing lemon, chilli, and mint yoghurt. The salt-crusted sourdough bread deserves special mention - generous portions of exceptional quality that set the tone for the entire meal.
Starters: The kiln-roasted salmon rillettes were expertly prepared, with a delicate smokiness and a gorgeous pesto, while the confit rabbit croquettes delivered rich, tender flavours in perfect bite-sized portions.
Mains: The gochujang-glazed aubergine salad was a revelation - bold Korean flavours with pickled radish, wonton, sticky rice, jalapeño, and avocado dressing that somehow felt entirely at home in this classic British setting. The slow-braised goose, lamb and beef ragu pappardelle was pure comfort elevated - rich, complex sauce with perfectly al dente pasta that showcased serious kitchen technique.
The frozen berries, presented with ice cream on dry ice, alongside Kathryn’s chocolate bomb (not in the set menu), provided a theatrical finish that perfectly balanced freshness with indulgent chocolate.
What made this experience particularly special was celebrating both our birthdays here. The Ivy’s legendary service and those iconic interiors, with their warm, golden lighting, created the perfect atmosphere for such an occasion (of course, we got a toilet selfie).
This menu genuinely honours The Ivy’s heritage whilst remaining accessible. The quality and attention to detail rival those of their full à la carte offerings, making this set menu an exceptional value.
We are already planning our return visit.

We have joined forces with The Ivy to create the very first Ivy Games.
We will be asking our members to take part in a knockout tournament to compete for the prize of a dining experience for two. To compete in the games you will need a key stage one ability of agility, speed and reactions. There will be a quarter final, semi final, third and forth play off and the final, with the top 3 winning prizes. The ultimate prize everyone will be going for will be the meal for two, which will be awarded to the winner!

Taking place on Sunday 20th April guests can book to enjoy curated breakfast menus for both adults and kids, fun and photoswith The Ivy Bunny, as well as treats and goodies to take home. With delectable food and great company, Breakfast With Bunny will provide the perfect start to a fabulously fun, family day out this Easter.
As part of their egg-citing Easter morning at The Ivy, little ones will enjoy a tasty and fulfilling breakfast, joined by The Ivy Bunny, with bunny ears and bowties for them to adorn themselves.
