We have begun a new thing together rooted in the exploration of the Baltic Sea- the ambition to write a new myth, an ode or just a song to the sea from which we all somehow come. Our first residency took place in Saaremaa, Estonia . We met wonderfully interesting people —fishing families, creative esoteric clairvoyants who may or may not have once been abducted by UFOs, local school teachers and folklorists, ordinary people with extraordinary stories, lighthouse people living beside. We met a writer who had built himself a tiny cell on wheels right by the sea, just to write. We met bird researcher, other creatures human and otherwise. This was only the first stop in our research journey. We continue collecting stories, myths, and testimonies from the shores of the Baltic Sea. More to come. Together with @nestriida@liisasaaremael
