For this short documentary, ‘Lost At Sea’, we filmed with artists and poet Joel Chidi Sydenham @chidi3s_art to uncover how his translates his emotion and philosophy through two mediums simultaneously, writing and painting. Joel draws a lot of inspiration from the natural world around him so we wanted to create a film that formed a synergy with his work and the environments he finds himself in. This was too brought into the edit and grade where the film was given space to breathe, focusing on texture and intimate sound throughout. Shot on a few 100ft rolls of Kodak 16mm Vision3 500T (7219) and the Krasnagorsk 3- Super16.
