Riding to improve my fitness: ❌ Riding to avoid chores: ✅ Started the morning rolling out to a @womenledcycling ride at Kill Creek Lake. @sasikkila took her brand new shiny bike onto gravel for the very first time — equal parts confidence and “hope this line works.” Then @e_lock_ridge and I stitched together every type of terrain possible before I peeled off to an alleycat race through the city with the @velogaragekc squad… where I contributed mostly by aggressively following people because apparently my brain refuses to remember landmarks 😅 Anyway, I’m counting this as: ☑️ gravel ☑️ endurance ☑️ navigation failure Hopefully at least one square on my @tappjustine bingo card gets stamped today 🤞🏼 —— Nada une más a los ciclistas que perderse juntos en plena carrera.

We drove to the middle of Kansas expecting nothing… and found one of the most fun MTB trails in Kansas. Wilson Lake is proof that the best rides aren’t always hiding in Colorado or Utah. One minute you’re bombing rocky singletrack above turquoise water… Next minute you’re stopping to take photos of wildlife in Kansas. But that’s the magic of hidden gem riding: No lift lines. No traffic jams. Just dirt, wind, wild views, and that feeling that you discovered something before everyone else. mountain biking all day… then joining a chaotic Czech egg scavenger hunt on rollerblades like it was an Olympic sport nobody asked for. Just for the stories to tell And honestly? Nothing builds confidence like surviving loose Kansas rock while a crosswind tries to throw you directly into the lake. Wilson Lake deserves way more hype 🤙🏼

Behind every smooth ride is unseen volunteer work. @strava helps us log it 🙂

The first Women Led Cycling gravel ride and a bit of - 1.5 fun?!?. A no-drop, no-ego, all vibes ride. If you’ve been gravel-curious but intimidated by the “what if I’m slow?” voice… this is your sign to join. We waited. We laughed. We got muddy. We made friends mid-snack break.

The world may feel like it’s burning, but there are still small places where care and change begin, like bike lanes in the KCMO area. Places like the Heart of America Bridge Path, the Rock Island Trail, and many more bike paths. We don’t talk enough about what these spaces represent, and that they’re proof that a different future is possible. A community reclaiming space, one protected lane at a time. So I’d like to ask @bikelanesweeper what would it take to win one of your units here in KCMO? Because this isn’t about just about cleaning bike lanes. It’s about protecting progress. It’s about giving riders, walkers and families the chance to actually use the infrastructure we fight for. Help us show what a city looks like when it chooses people first 😁

Happy Earth Day! and on that note we’re riding in solidarity with @bikeleague and @wabadc to remind Congress that safe infrastructure saves lives. Bike lanes are protection, access, and freedom to move through our cities without fear. #AmericasBikeLane #BikeLanesSaveLives

63+ miles, 5,600 ft of climbing… in Kansas City This was my first Mile High Ride. Where pacing meets patience. Rolling hills that don’t quit, skyline views that make you forget your legs for a second, and a crew that keeps the energy honest when it gets hard. Not a “smash it” kind of ride, it’s a “figure it out as you go” kind of day. Wake up early, shift often, and don’t trust anyone who says ”this is the last hill” 😜 Thank you for your service @a.walla_ @jaredswoboda and Jason for keeping wheels turning and spirits up Needless to say. Congrats to everyone who was there huffing and puffing with me. What a great day! 😊

This is part 1 of 2 from bikepacking trips around @fayettevillear . Stitched together from the kind of miles that make you laugh at bad timing, question your choices on the climbs, and then somehow I love the whole thing even more. Somewhere between the gravel, the sweat, the snacks, and the chaos, the real lesson showed up: A good route. A few people you trust. A reason to keep moving. And the reminder that joy is usually waiting a little farther down the road than comfort is. It’s not always graceful. Sometimes it’s dust in your teeth, and wondering why your “light setup” still feels suspiciously heavy. But that’s part of the magic. You come back dirtier, hungrier, and a little more like yourself. #Bikepacking #Fayetteville #ArkansasCycling #BikepackingRoots #CyclingLife

Not a “ride”— a rolling community... in the woods this time. @womenledcycling mountain bike crew. Less gatekeeping, more group texts. Less solo grinding, more “drop in, we’ve got you.” ✌🏼

I’ve been watching a Netflix show that inspired me to make this intro. If you know, you know… 💅 So here it is—your invitation. @womenledcycling Seasonal rides, just wheels turning and community growing. Come for the ride, stay for the energy you didn’t know you needed.
