A pastor spends two decades building a congregation, and on one day meant for celebration, delivers a sermon that changes everything. This is a tender, searching play about faith, doubt, and the communities we build around what we believe. Directed by Glen Goei, starring Shane Mardjuki, Oon Shu An, Julius Foo, Timothy Wan, and Zee Wong, as well as a live choir and band at every performance — we can't wait to bring this play to Singapore for the very first time.

This year’s gala concert, directed by Ivan Heng, Glen Goei and Pam Oei, featured the very best of Singapore’s theatre talents in full bloom. Our fabulous hosts Pam Oei and Hossan Leong kept the ballroom thoroughly entertained all night, accompanied by an 8-piece orchestra led by maestro Julian Wong!
The Rice Ball company featured familiar faces from the Wild Rice stage, like Marcus Cheong, Izzul Irfan, Vanessa Kee, Dwayne Lau, Audrey Luo, Nadya Zaheer and Ethel Yap, with special guest Don Shiau bringing down the house with his stand-up comedy set. We also shone a spotlight on the future of Singapore theatre — our Young & Wild talents and the adorable First Stage Kids.
And of course, the night wasn’t over until DJ Keith Colaco got everyone on the dance floor! 🕺🏽💃🏼

Months of preparation has led us to this moment. 46 performers, 22 pairs of hands on deck, an army behind the scenes. It’s all so very moving and magical. There’s really no Gala like the Wild Rice Ball. And there’s no business like show business!!
🎨Thrilled to share that thanks to a very generous donation from @odetoartgallery , two remarkable artworks will be auctioned at the Rice Ball on Saturday, 7th March.
One is by the late Cultural Medallion recipient Sarkasi Said, a true pioneer of local batik painting. For almost 60 years, he pushed the form forward with his bold colours and distinctive wax-resist technique, helping to place Singapore batik on the contemporary art map. His life was a testament to artistic devotion and generosity. This is a rare opportunity to own and honour a true master.
Also up for grabs is Takashi Murakami’s Flowerball (3D) Red Ball (2013), a limited edition serigraph. Born in Tokyo in 1962, Murakami coined “Superflat” to describe his vibrant aesthetic. This perfectly spherical work, covered in his signature smiling flowers, is playful and instantly recognisable.

Monkey Goes West is back! A clever, funny twist on the beloved Chinese folk tale, this show was a smash hit with critics and audiences alike when it premiered in 2014. 🔥
This production will be reimagined for the Wild Rice stage by director @ivanhengwild , with an epic script by @alfiansaat , accompanied by @elainechanmusic 's brilliant score, as well as a dazzling cast including our First Stage Kids! 👯♀️
Wild Rice’s renowned First Stage programme is the only one of its kind in Singapore. Successful auditionees will get the opportunity to learn, grow and gain invaluable performing experience as they work on a homegrown theatre production alongside some of the best theatre-makers in the country.
📣 We are looking for 12 children from the ages of 6 to 12 who can act, sing and dance.
