this sh*t gets real real real… behind the scenes of recording Te Amo in @nuevayork_musica (more 💬 below)
… we took two days to record this song, also most of it direct to tape. on day one, we recorded rhythm section, piano, hammond, guitars, violin, and had many friends (close to 20 people) singing background vocals.
on day two (as seen above), we returned to the studio to listen to what we recorded the day prior. this is a very of-the-moment reaction to what I first heard… thanks to @feligutierres , we get to see all shades of the creative process 🥹
this feeling right here is the reason I continue to make music. carrying on this journey, no matter the direction the road may bend.

just watched the new Michael biopic and The Jacksons @thejacksons story, and im feeling so very humbled and grateful after going back down memory lane to a career highlight, just a couple of years ago… when i got to share the stage with them not once but twice at festivals in México… and learn from the greats. still surreal to say that.
and ill never forget Tito’s words to me... 🙏🏽🤍 rip legend.
