The new amp is finished! What was originally a 1940s radio rotting in a storage unit has become a Silvertone-esque guitar amp! I couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out. @foxybaberella did an amazing job on the tolex and grill cloth as always! In slide 2 you can see the other amp I’ve been using lately which was the first amp I ever built (but modded heavily).

Today I released an instrumental electronic tune called Branches. I was going back through the archive, heard this and thought, “This is weird, and I love it. I should release it.” While I recorded it all myself a couple years back, @jsshupe was kind enough to master the track for me, which really brought it to life! Personal achievement: I’ve always loved Green Onions by Booker T and the MGs, and it’s been on my bucket list to learn it. I never had piano lessons, and it doesn’t come super easy to me, but I’m quite excited to have gotten this piece together this much!

For anyone who’s ever been interested in the Miku Stomp:
First off, the tracking is horrid. Both in pitch and timing. It does not handle pitch changes quickly and even the most perfectly intonated guitar can sound seasick with it.

Second, It’s insanely loud for no reason. There’s no volume control and it’s louder than 99% of other pedals.
.
Third, it doesn’t seem to like being in the middle of a pedal chain very much. It clips very easily even with low output pickups.
.
Lastly, I’ll clarify that this video is the Miku into a Slow Gear patch on ZOIA to soften the attack, into a Nobels ODR just to bring the volume down, and lastly into a delay to further soften it.
