after about 14 years later, we made our way back to PR. Got there a lil older, came back all the more wiser- visited Grandpa after way too long and was reminded that family is usually where the sunshine is.

‘When you fall, don’t rush.’ The director’s cut of our prior commercial for @adjustedhp . Started as a simple shoot: make it cool enough and sporty enough on a micro budget. For a while I hit a wall, felt like we were leaving too much on the table.
Then Harvey took the concept and ran with it, wrote one of the most fire monologues I’d heard in a minute. That changed everything. What started as a quick simple piece of content for a brand turned into something about culture, legacy, and how it passes from generation to generation, all in a minute flat.

It’s been exactly two years since I picked up my first camera and started this creative journey. If I had a genie, I’d wish for one conversation with 18-year-old Luis—the fresh off the boat kid who had no idea where this passion would take him. I tend to be overly analytical and hard on myself, yet never hold that same standard against others who create. But for the first time, I’m learning to sit back, breathe, and acknowledge the growth that was shaped by the people I’ve met, the impermanence of things, the wins and losses, and all the lessons in between.
So grateful to be sharing this and to have worked with @wayofwade on such a meaningful project. Two-years-ago me would’ve done a backflip and immediately called my mom (which… I still did 😭). Thank you to @itsemmyagain and @kylealexapodaca_ for being my Chicago older siblings in this industry and in life, and to this entire crew for making this feel like a true passion project— there was more laughter and karaoke than stress LMAOO 😛 I learned so much from this experience. It was my first time working with such a big crew, and taught me a lot about teamwork and trusting my instincts and more importantly the instincts of others; I can’t wait to apply all of these lessons to what’s next :)
Starting 2026 like this feels unreal. It reminds me that pouring into your dreams and the people around you truly matters. This is only the beginning!! I’m so excited for what’s next 😄🤞

wowowowowow‼️ my first ever narrative-style project, and i honestly couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. from the cooking scene with lola to the picnic with friends, every frame in this mini story was inspired by my upbringing in the Philippines. it all just felt so close to home 🥹🏠
