Fractional work is similar to hiring someone part-time, for a gig, for a project. It’s getting expertise and specific skill sets without having to break the bank. Many small business founders need help but are not at the level to hire someone full time in their business, because they either don’t have the cash flow, have enough capacity where they don’t need to offload entirely, or it’s a temporary high priority problem. Founders who hire me, want a board of advisors, a full time operator executing on all the vision, or a team of 10 but aren’t at that level yet. So Fractional work is more attainable. It can look like a a year long retainer where I am apart of their team one day a week, or x amount of hours per month, OR maybe for a start up and execution of a brand new priority project. Many times, founders come to me cause they know something has to change, but they don’t know what to fix, don’t have the capacity to go execute, or just point blank don’t know how to fix it. And yeah, the big dawgs on Wall Street aren’t the only ones who can afford big dawg brains, this type of business structure was made specially to support SMB founders. Flashy flashy. And here’s the whole point. It might have got you to click the reel, but it’s not about the money. Read it again. The service providers making real money in 2026 aren’t the ones with the prettiest Notion templates or can do the tasks. They’re the ones who figured out how to fold AI into their delivery without it being just a show or front. It’s executing their skills faster and better. Imagine you’re number #1 on the court then Kobe Bryant comes and just whoops your ass. As a competitive player, you work your ass off to learn the skills to stay ahead. To match/bet him. This isn’t fear. It’s just happening, and you gotta stay with or ahead of the curve. The market’s already shifting. Clients are already asking. AI is not just another search engine, and you definitely didn’t get it to make you work harder. I will bet that right now is actually the cusp that you should be taking advantage of. We are in the stage where some know, some use, and some ignore AI. That option won’t be around for long. This might make you uncomfortable, and it should. You are your biggest foe. You self sabotage. Right when things get good, you doubt yourself. Right when you’re about to finish something, you stop yourself mid way. This is your internal filing cabinet just remembering all the bad shit that has happened and trying to trick you into believing that no other outcome is possible, and you’re listening to it even though it has NO PROOF that this new thing you’re doing will or will not work. So yeah, I’m not against pivoting, trying new things, getting a new coach, or creating a new offer. I’m just saying learn how to DECIDE and make decisions like a real CEO. By looking at the data and pull the right levers (meaning solve the right problem with the right action). When people say 80% mindset and 20% strategy this is what they talk about. Honestly, as a fractional coo who goes in and helps people make better business decisions and execute on the ideas sitting in their brain, a lot of it works because I can objectively be the 3rd party that pulls the CEO out of this self sabotaging pattern. While they sit in turmoil, I say look this is the fact, give it to me, and it gets done without any buts, ifs, or doubts. If you can’t do decide or execute for yourself - then stay in the vision and hand it off. Raw unfiltered response to the influx of information, experts, and access to AI that we have in today’s economy. I’m calling it - traditional coaching is going to die and weed out the wannabes. The ones who have real backed and proved experience will win. This isn’t even about people necessarily, the trust economy, or even market share. It’s the disturbing ability for false information, narrative, and the game of telephone that as exponentially increase. The level of discernment is no longer just a nice to have but a REQUIREMENT. And unfortunately, not many people, let alone founders, have the ability make the best decisions about who they hire, who they trust, what advice to follow. This is the reason why certain coaches will die out and fractional work like mine will stand the test of time. Human discernment, quality and control, level of attention, is required more than ever. Yes use AI. And yes hire someone who can discern or help you discern. It’s no longer a nice to have. ✌🏼Crystal

First disclaimer - I am not a tax person, cpa, accountant or anything of the sort so get yourself legal help. Second - every situation is different. I didn’t over pay. I just leveraged a ton of legal ways to offset. Take some note, but in general my advice get yourself a business. And if you need help growing your business, I’ve built 5 and scaled 3 to multi 6 figures in less than a year. And yes, all while with a w2 job, pregnant, or with an infant. ✌🏼Crystal
