What a great way to wrap the weekend after a tough week. Thank you @awkward_baby_seaturtle for being my best friend and helping me finally embrace the nitty gritty and live in the moment. Tomorrow isn’t promised and yesterday is gone.
Today is all we got and I am so grateful for each today we have been racking up together.
Not every today is an easy day for us, but we get to wake up together and try and do better the next day.
Watching you light up over the little things in life has helped me start to enjoy them through a new pair of glasses.
And seeing how happy and yappy and safe you feel every time you are next to me, that’s something I never thought I was capable of providing anyone. Your love for me helps me heal more and more those insecure wounds of the past.
You tell me that I am a good man and I am finally starting to believe it too.

I am grateful for the bonds that I have made over the years, but more proud of the REAL BROTHERHOOD that I have from my time of service in the @usnavy
I could have put on the face for surface level relationships while chasing internet clout at another event that I was invited to this weekend, but sharing this historic event of the commissioning of the @uss_clevelandlcs31 with the @ussclevelandlegacyfoundation and my Mom and family and shipmates, ranked above all of that other stuff.
God Bless the real heroes in the top 3 percent of this country that have been willing to take that oath.
