Presenting my Daredevil 1, published by Marvel in April 1964. An undervalued silver age key in my opinion, and the book that introduced the origin and supporting cast of Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Created by Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett (with significant layout contributions from Jack Kirby), it established the foundation for the “Man Without Fear” 🔴
Very happy with the 7.0, OW/White pages, of one of my favourite 1st app keys. This is a top 10 book in PC for me. I resonate with DD and his character 💪🏻

CGC grading submission book return 3/20…
Here is X-Men 32 published in 1967 and is standout early X-Men issue, featuring one of my favourite villains growing up. This book is written by Roy Thomas with art by Werner Roth and a Jack Kirby cover.
This is a lovely 9.6 UKPV copy, putting this at the top of its census with none-higher;

Book 1/20 is Secrets of Haunted House 5, in a walloping 9.4 OW/White pages. I’m chuffed with this result to say the least!!!
The legendary horror artist Bernie Wrightson provided this spectacularly spooky cover, which has really become a major draw for DC Bronze Age horror comic collectors.
With only 13 on the census in 9.4 and 12 in higher grade (9 in 9.6 and 3 in 9.8) this is a tough book to find on the open market with only 1 sale of a 9.4 in the last 18 months, namely due to the fact I think it sits pretty comfortably in most dc bronze horror collections!

Something a little bit different 🤭
I was able to nab this 1990s collectors set from Disney, sealed and in mint condition.
Whilst my collection of pop-culture nostalgia will be passed down to my kids, this was something specifically for my first-born, daughter. As a kidult myself Disney is something we both adore. My childhood. Her childhood ongoing. And this box, being a 1990 set of issue 1’s, will always hopefully hold a dear place, being my birth-year also.
Just a poignant memoir of how our hobby can connect and remind generations of each other, hopefully forever, and ever… ✨

Is there a more important story/cover in all of Spider-Man? This is the book that marked the end of the “Silver Age”, by breaking Spidey and Marvel Comics readers hearts in 1973!
Written by Gerry Conway with art by Gil Kane and inks by John Romita Sr, in this milestone issue The Green Goblin (Norman Osborn) kidnaps Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s girlfriend, to lure Spider-Man into a trap at the George Washington Bridge. During the big showdown fight, Gwen is thrown from the bridge. Spider-Man catches her with a web, but the abrupt stop causes her neck to snap—implying his rescue attempt actually killed her. It shattered the convention that superheroes always save their loved ones. It began the “Gwen Stacy Syndrome,” a trend of killing off supporting characters to advance a hero’s story, and indeed started the darker, grittier Bronze Age of comics.
One of my most favourite books in the PC hence for the frequency of posting through the year. This copy in particular got double signed by the late-great Gerry Conway and Roy Thomas 👌🏻
This cover scores a 9/10 for me, colour, use of space, character display - very powerful and lasting 💥

Happy team-up Tuesday and what better way to celebrate than with Marvel Team-Up 13, published in 1973.
This issue features a team-up between Spidey and Cap against the Grey Gargoyle.
Written by Len Wein with art by Gil Kane, we find Peter Parker struggling with the recent death of Gwen Stacy, while Cap helps him, as the web-slinger is currently wanted for questioning regarding local deaths.
This cover bangs too. For me a 7/10 for the way characters are pushed from the page to the reader 💥 I’m gonna start scoring covers, particularly my silver age beauties 😍
