I actually can’t believe that Burn is just a couple of days away. What the actual helly. 🫠 SO much planning, time, energy, and love for one wild week in the desert. Sorry cuties, your girl has been working very hard and hasn’t had a minute to make this post until now 🤓So @pandora.festival.za !!! Wow! I cannot thank you enough!!! Thank you for creating not only such a special space physically but a space for artist to feel safe to explore and push their own limits👏🏽 I was so grateful to be booked for the legendary ‘Grandmas House’, and realized it was the perfect opportunity to push some sounds I’d been raving to on my own but hadn’t really heard out here in South Africa yet. Something ravey, grimey, fast and girly 💕 So after a full day of fucking mega music, I really had to psyche myself up to make it to my 2:30am call time 💩 and was honestly so freaking nervous because this set was quiiiiite out there compared to my usual stuff TG for bumping into @missp_pressplay aaas my nerves were peaking, the diva that she is, created a mantra on the spot to “when in doubt, filter out.” and let me tell you, with a bit of a rocky start (iykyk), a couple technical issues, I was IN my head, but thank fuck for her wise words because it honestly brought me back to having fun, which is the whole dam point!!! I mean after all the brief was “euphoric / unhinged / total mayhem”💩 So consider it nailed 💅🏽 I hope whoever was with me on the dancefloor enjoyed it! Sheesh this month has given me a moment to catch my breath after the whirlwind that was Dezemba. It’s also given me some time lock in work wise ( yup I also have a real job or 3 ) but it’s given me some time to get fucking hyped for my next set which is at @pandora.festival.za 🤘🏽 Feeling super grateful to the Pandora team for welcoming me into their world and giving me the space to explore and really play with this set I’m cooking up for you 💅🏽 I can’t wait to see you all and dance with you all! @meidumfestival 🙏🏽 What a festival, what a production, what a time! This time last week we were getting ready, nerves flaring, no alcohol due to my concussion💩 and no option but to feel the feels and head onto what was a rather intimidating but incredibly impressive stage, give it my all and as James Brown puts it, Get up offa that thing and dance 'til you feel better 🤘🏽 Lucky for me the crowd was fucking unreal and that day 1 fezzi energy I felt, and that larger than life disco ball got me through it 🙌🏽 Meidum has always been high on my list of festivals I’ve always wanted to play at, and wow what an experience! Beyond proud to have been a small part of such an incredible event. Huge MAZAL TOV to @elanschnider and the team for seriously leveling up 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Thank you for dancing! Sheesh it’s been a minute! But I’m here with my Pangea appreciate post 🙏🏽 @pangea_thetribe , you have my heart! Buidling up to it, I had all sorts of visions and intentions of what I wanted to create and how I hoped to make people feel. There are so many things I love about this Pirelli project : it’s me a space to express myself not only through music but in a setting that creates connection. The digging and exploring, the pure joy it brings! But the main thing I took away from this Pangea is a deep sense of trust. A trust that the Pangea team had in me from last year through to this year, the trust they had for me to play at such a big, beautiful stage like Enigma, the trust that everyone on the dance floor had in me and of course the trust I had in myself. I wanted to take risks, I wanted to be a part of creating moments for people, big and small! I wanted everyone to bounce around as much as I did, and I think I can honestly say that, I did that. I feel so proud to be a part of such an incredible world -class festival, and a community of people who appreciate and enjoy life the way we do, and I feel so proud of myself. Sure there were a couple of mistakes, but I’m still so proud of how far I’ve come in the last year, and just grateful for moments like these, and so grateful to @pangea_thetribe ! I cannot believe this was almost a year ago! Getting booked to play at @pangea_thetribe was surreal enough, let alone playing for one of the best crowds ever!! (Apparently there was even a piñata being smashed at one point!?!) But definitely thanks to @privatelifecapetown for building that Sunserra floor for 3 full hours on the Friday night before my set 🙌🏽 I’m having flashbacks of sitting at the back of the dance floor, stress-rolling rollies and drinking a double whiskey to calm myself the fuck down🫠 I kicked off at about 1am and sure, one could say it was chaotic. The smoke machine was tryna take me out, sound techs packing up vinyl decks, music cutting while installing a new deck for the next DJ, only for 000.2 seconds but we l kinda love the chaos right? Well, I definitely love the chaos. 🤪 It’s crazy to think that this set was basically my 2nd big gig 🙂 but I put so much love and effort and practice into it. And TG my mixing has come a long way since then, but it’s still one of my fave sets! And yes, it’s on my SoundCloud, link in bio 🙈 And YES, I’ll be back at @pangea_thetribe this year (so beyond grateful!!! wow manifesting is literally so real) and dammm I am FROTHING! I know I know, it feels like forever ago but it was actually just a few short weeks since the last @folkscapetown .. allow me set the scene, because it was a SCENE! It was wet & cold out, the Boks lost, but whoever came out brought a serious amount of unhinged energy and literal heat. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 There were grown men go-go dancing on stage like their lives were on the line, and once I got through my usual bundle of nerves I had the time of my fucking life! Hiiii! I’d like to introduce myself. I’m PRLLI. Originally a Joburg girlie but Cape Town is definitely home. I guess much like everyone in this city, I fell in love with DJing. 💩 Possibly a natural progression from being a stylist, creative director and co-founder of a sex shop???What can I say? I love music and I love sharing it, especially on a dance floor.
