Madformance Ep. 02
Oleg Kulik, “Man as Dog”
Curated by @guidofranco
1994
A nak*d man on a leash walks into a gallery and, from that moment on, stops being an “artist”.
Oleg Kulik doesn’t perform, he commits: he barks, moves on all fours, watches the audience with a tense, animal focus. At first it feels like a familiar provocation. Then the shift. Someone gets too close, crosses that unspoken line, and Kulik reacts as announced: he actually bites him.
For a few minutes, the gallery doesn’t feel like a safe place anymore.

This month, the “Artwork” section of @stylemagazineitalia (EIC @alecalascibetta ) presents @serifa
Their artwork Euphoria reflects on the erosion of individuality, where contours fade into a uniform surface, under the pressure of conformity.
