Atomic Love Poem is a testimonial to the the work my father did in service to his country, much of which will never be known or directly attributed to him. It’s about me, his photographer daughter, who, after discovering his negatives and photographs, determined his extraordinary vision warranted a wider audience. And it’s about my need to put the peices of a long dormant puzzle together by combining elements of history, culture, and current events with my personal memories and perspectives.
My father’s archive contains thousands of documents,
negatives, photographic prints and ephemera. This exhibition represents a very small part of the collection.
Ironically, I am bringing it to light at a point in history where we are perilously close to nuclear annihilation.
My father was only one of many who contributed to the development and dissemination of nuclear weapons.

Ppecs PRO Audio = 🎙️ + 🤯 + a whole lot of fun.
We got hands on with some really cool mics and went full sound nerd mode testing unidirectional, surround, binaural, and AMBEO setups with a sprinkle of hydrophone!
Basically… from “point and record” to “whoa, I feel like I’m inside a cave.”
Lots of experimenting, a few “wait, listen to THIS, your joints sound amazing!” moments, and plenty of laughs along the way.
Nothing better than seeing students explore sound in 3D and realize how creative this can get 🎧.

Wrapping up Audio Post 37100 and honestly… what a ride. 🎚️🎬
This semester I got to meet a whole crew of emerging sound designers, sound editors, and dialogue editors. True wizards of every plugin you can imagine. 🪄🎧
We survived wild schedules broken Iloks, picture locks that were NOT picture locked, moved deadlines, and even a packet of raw video files. Ay ay ay. 😂🎥
And of course… the always generous tiny window given to audio post.
But despite it all, these students delivered professionally, creatively, and with serious skill.
They’re prepared. They’re ready. And they crushed it.

Wrapping up Audio Production 27100 like… 🎧💥
This semester, my students created sound design from scratch (original music, foley, punches, screams, voice acting… basically anything that goes BOOM or AAAH! 😆) All for two amazing trailers edited by Prof. Alex Montoya’s Editing class. 🎬
Sound courses are all about collaboration.
Creativity was overflowing, and yes… our neighbors probably heard a few too many sound effects. 😂
So proud of this crew. You made the semester unforgettable! 💛🎙️🎶

Live event students met a wide variety of @icparkschool alumni and formed great networking connections.
