I am honored to share that I received a trifecta of awards this semester for my teaching and creative work! Last night, I won the @ucfnscm Outstanding Teaching Award alongside my MFA student @mariovl91 who won for his feature documentary! Earlier this semester, I received the @ucfsciences Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award and the OSCAR: Outstanding Scholarship, Creative Activity, and Research Award! I am so grateful for the support of my colleagues and collaborators, as well as the students who continue to inspire me every day. #professor #filmmaker #mentor @ucffilm

We won the Award for Outstanding LGBTQ+ Representation at Nevada Women’s Film Festival last night! Thank you to everyone at @nwffest for a truly fantastic experience! Big thanks to our amazing crew, cast and supporters who helped make “Lesbians in Boystown” a triple-award winning film to date! We could not have done this without you! We hope this award raises more awareness for the film so that the stories of these trailblazing lesbians and queer women can continue to inspire!
