Brighton’s best roast chicken is now at @plateaubrighton
Simple, unfussy, absolutely delicious. Crispy skin, juicy meat and the choice of a half or whole bird (obviously I went whole. Go big or go home).
It comes with crispy new potatoes and a salad for just £38.
Now… confession time: I don’t actually love a full roast dinner. They make me feel bloated, sleepy and mildly regretful. But this meal had me feeling great. Satisfied, happy, and only mildly annoyed I couldn’t finish every last bite.
If you’re looking for a Sunday spot with great wine and even better vibes, Plateau is it. Go. Eat chicken. Be happy.

San Sebastian-inspired food by the incredibly talented best friends @dillwennardchef & @isyhinch hosted at one of the best drinking spots in the city @the_well_brighton
With the weather begining to warm up and the sun starting to come out 🌞 this pop-up couldn't have been better timed. San Sebastian (known as one of the foodie capitals of the world) is all about standing around in crowded bars and out on the narrow streets with beer and plates of food in hand. This pop up replicated the food perfectly, all from this little corner of hove.
My stand out dishes were easily the tallegio & chicken skin orzo and the morcilla & pig trotter fritters and of course the legendary @arissykitchen basque cheesecake.
We managed to make our way through the majority of the menu with each thing being even better than the last. Everything was delicious, from the things piled on bread to the crab patatas bravas and the romesco tempura artichoke. Tasty food, delicious beer and wine and great vibes.
