ISeeYou Foundation distributed food bags filled with staple pantry items to refugees and families in need-along with additional ground beef, chicken, eggs, dates, and socks to help support them a little further. We were grateful to have @walakb join us to meet community members and see our grant funds at work here in Prince Georges County. When we come together, we don’t just provide essentials, we strengthen our community.

9/11 marked one year since the catastrophic floods in Derna, Libya. I struggled to “write a post” about it and instead a poem came to me. I spontaneously decided to share it at @forfreedoms for their closing session on death called “Dearly Departed”.
Thank you to everyone who donated to @ISYFoundation last year for Libya Flood Relief we were able to take care of 1200 families relocation, food and supplies, medical bills, school needs, and created a food stamp/voucher system that is still being used today.
