Summarizing the end of Issues in a single caption is impossible and the feelings are overwhelming but here’s my best attempt. 12 years of blood sweat and tears led to this point, this end of an era. We’ve accomplished things i used to dream about as a kid. Our first album cracked the top 10, we met fans in parts of the world i hadn’t even heard of, we won a few awards, and made music that is important to so many of you Hooligans. What a loving, supportive, and radically cool community of people we get to be a part of. We’re especially proud that we helped set the stage for more diversity in guitar music. Representation matters and here we are, looking like an elementary school diversity poster and touring the world. Some of yall might not remember how unusual that was in 2012 but holy shit man things are different now and we are proud to have helped move the needle. Musically we always strived to blow minds and it feels like we may have been early to the punch on Heavy Pop or whatever it is but to inspire so many awesome bands that are now pushing it even further will always be an honor. We humbly pass the torch to whoever wants it. It may seem self serving to list our own accomplishments but when else is more appropriate than now??? We’re fu*kin bad ass and i’ll miss us. Issues set the context for our lives up until now and many of yours, and like most things, lasts for a season. The season is changing. This night there were tears shed, hatchets buried, friendships formed and strengthened, and if anything it’s now very clear that this is also the beginning of a new season. There’s a lot more life to be lived and music to be made from our end, in whatever form that takes. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the past 12 years because we would be nowhere without you. We will be eternally grateful. And fr don’t be a stranger. issues vinyl update! some of yall have seen this in your email by now. “Hello! We hope you’re doing well! We wanted to give you a quick update on your pre-order for the Issues Forever Live Vinyl. While we initially expected to ship in late summer or early fall, it looks like the new ship date will be sometime in January 2025. We’re hard at work on production to ensure everything is just right! We truly appreciate your understanding as things are taking a bit longer than we anticipated. Thank you so much for your support and patience during this time!” i personally wanted to apologize for it taking longer than expected, we’ve never done a live album before and it’s genuinely just taking longer than expected because it’s harder than we thought. but we feel strongly about making this new deadline, and because of how ambitious this project is and the extra stuff going into the physical packaging we will absolutely make use of the extra time. will keep you updated! - Sky

10 years of Issues s/t plus classic merch! #ISSUESTWERKTEAM Its been 10 years since the first Issues album. to mark this momentous occasion we decided to bring back a couple of our more iconic merch items you might recognize. maybe your twerk shorts got lost in the wash hit that bio! / while you’re relearning how to twerk let’s go down memory lane! a lot of these slides are from the first world tour we did, playing SE Asia was probably the most formative experience of our professional lives. here’s the breakdown 1. we flew to london in the middle of our (second?) headliner to open for Bring Me The Horizon on their first arena headlining show at wembley. we were exhausted but that was an incredible privilege. and we all wore shirts One Ok Rock gave us and looked fresh as hell 2. ISSUES TWERK TEAM SHORTS there’s no way you don’t remember these. plus the hooligans shirts so many of you bought, and a new exclusive hat! i will be wearing all of these except the hat cuz my hair ruins hats for me :( 3. this was the day we announced @joshmanuel as our drummer and the real beginning of the self titled album cycle. immediately before this picture we shot the video for Hooligans. 4. we were honored to open for One Ok Rock at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo. i think this was our biggest show ever as a band with 22 thousand people! this moment specifically where the entire crowd bounces with us is something i think about often. Japan will always have a place in our heart. 5. Bangkok!!! we had so many adventures on this run. i remember buying almost everything out of a really cool shop in a shanty right off the ferry and they gave us tiny little buddha figures with bells in them for good luck. i still keep mine on me at all times. 6. this was really what marked the end of the ST era but i had to include it. arranging the pokemon theme song and playing it every day was a dream come true for 10 y/o us. not to mention we accidentally timed it perfectly with pokemon go dropping that summer. cont.
