Introducing an art making machine designed and fabricated for @iskraprint Iskra Print Collective in Burlington, VT. The project is a total reinvention of the printing press developed in 2015 for the Museum of Arts and Design @madmuseum in NYC in 2015. This time the presses (2 of them for now) are small and mobile! In addition of being instruments of public participation, they are part of a community outreach program. The mobile presses travel in the state of Vermont and beyond to meet people where they are, providing access to a tool, a process and a practice they would not have access to otherwise, and creating meaningful experiences and connections. The project was funded by the Vermont Community Foundation @vtcommfoundation .

We are thrilled to share that @iskraprint will be participating in the @vermontartbookfair at @karmabirdhouse on April 10th and 11th!
Rooted in our mission to expand access to printmaking and build community through hands-on creative work, weâll be hosting a workshop in the studio and activating the rest of the building with pop-up events, collaborative making, and plenty of ink throughout the weekend.
Come see what is possible when ink, paper, and community collide.

IAA just wrapped an epic residency with Shawn Dumont @sheltercultivationproject of Iskra Print Collective, @iskraprint featuring an incredible mobile printing press designed by François Chambard of UM Projects. @umproject
Students experienced the power of public art through a collaborative screen printing project, exploring typography as a bold design element. The theme, âI am IAAâŚâ, invited students in grades Kâ5 to lead the brainstorming and each choose one word that reflects how they contribute to the culture and community at IAA.
